Possible glitch? Help?

So I'm in winter of year 2. I'm currently pursuing Vaughn on my second file and I have him up to a yellow heart. Two days ago was the Starry Night Festival which I attended with him at Mirabelle's. The next day (Wednesday) I noticed him hanging around in his corner at Mirabelle's. I thought it was odd, but hey maybe he decided to stay an extra day at her place. When I walked up to talk to him, he only says "Always lived alone. Don't need anyone's help." He did, however, accept my gift of porridge. Throughout the day, I noticed he didn't move from her store.

The next day, I wake up, to see him still here at Sunshine Islands. When I speak to him, he only says that line. I'm worried how this might effect my chances of marrying him. Like, will his HP continue to increase? Will he be stuck there even if I marry him? Unfortanately, I don't have a save file before the festival so I can't reset it :/

Update! I tried offering him porridge on Thrusday and he acted as if I had offered him a gift twice in a row, meaning I probably can't raise any more HP with him

Don't worry. It's a glitch, yup, but it always seems to happen when you ask him to the Starry Night Festival before marriage. He should be back to normal on either Monday or Tuesday, and leave like normal after that.
