He loves chickens remember...I think if there are extra heart points for the guys that buying chicken feed or chickens would boost his a little bit..But I only think it would for chickens...

he gives it to you, than you return it back! also if you show you him your healthy chicken (like when you hold your dog to someone) it might even double the points!! for some reason in this game you get ppl to like you buy giving them stuff...which is bribery...
