Leaks mentioned a male robot AI character, and the new trailer featured a male AI-sounding voice that is named "Sam." he's most likely the AI character similar to EDI.runefactor wrote:Guys I think I missed out on some info drop. Who's this Sam you speak of?? I love robots *points at new set* so I'm really curious now :')
Also would love it if there was another drell. I'm most curious about the human characters since most of my favs from the trilogy were humans.

I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe he was the one canned as a squad member. May have been too much like EDI. It would have been a lot easier for them to transition his dialogue from squad member to a non one considering how AIs work.
Just a theory though with very limited info. They'll probably never outright say who was cut :/

Same. Plus considering he is probably similar to EDI in that he's "apart" of the ship and was in charge of supervising most of their time travelling while everyone else was asleep; it would make more sense for him to stay on the ship for missions and just provide background support.RopeMaidenKirie wrote:I have a sneaking suspicion that maybe he was the one canned as a squad member. Or at least, that's what I'm assuming.

^Completely agree.
So the initiative website updated with a super cool new video and information!
https://www.masseffect.com/andromeda-in ... -and-nexus
Holy « Puppy Doodoo » the Nexus looks awesome (THERE'S A BAR) AND there's a female Krogan engineer as part of leadership on the Nexus. I wonder how many Salarians are pissed about that lol
"Nexus Superintendent: Nakmor Kesh
Nakmor Kesh, is a female Krogan and part of the core team of station engineers who built the Nexus. Her contributions during the mission include station upkeep and ensuring all facilities remain in working order."

Few other things:
Guessing all the stuff you salvage from planets is used to level up the Nexus. Someone said there's a "Citadel level 100" somewhere but I can't see it on my phone.
Sloane Kelley is the black woman Ryder met in the trailer, so it looks like the leadership is fragmented already when you get there. She's the security leadership, so that's pretty interesting.
Also lol @ Avina returning :D

And that site looks amazing! The ship looks so cooooool. Oh man it's nice to be so hyped about a game again. Haven't felt that since ZTD came out.
YOU GUYS I've been out of the country so I've only just managed to watch the new trailer and it looks SO GOOD. Was that some biotic charging I saw going on all over that battlefield? (Please say it was I love biotic charge so much). And new companions! FEMALE TURIAN WELL HEY THERE. And so many krogan!
Like, at this point I don't even care who is romanceable, I just want to hang out with all these new companions. And get drunk in the lounge.

Sounds so, so good. Hoping they pull it off.We have a handful of worlds that are scripted to be hand-crafted, rich, and detailed. Each planet has its own history and backstory and they are designed specifically with unique characters, stories, challenges, and choices. Each world has its own main narrative, with a central storyline throughout, and key decisions that impact that planet for the rest of the game. All of the sidequests and adventures on a planet tie into that story, or the main game story in some way.

Man I know, I'm really impatient lol ;_; I just want a solid release date
On the bright side, the first MEA book is going to be released on March 28th!

What stands out to me is that luckily this time around the writers they've chosen seem to be actual huge fans of the Mass Effect series. They've also got pretty respectable writing reputations so I'm really looking forward to diving in! The guy that's writing the first book has been hanging around the ME Reddit and seems like he's really excited about the book releasing and being able to talk to fans about it.

Oooh good! I'll have to get my hands on the books when they come out. Which reminds me, I still need to read Retribution (and I know from here to avoid Deception like the plague!) I love how many fans seem to be 'involved' this time round - folks who are working on Andromeda, writing the new books - it just gives me a fuzzy 'dreams can come true!' feelingWhat stands out to me is that luckily this time around the writers they've chosen seem to be actual huge fans of the Mass Effect series. Ooh that sounds great! May consider looking into that one, then.RopeMaidenKirie wrote:Man I know, I'm really impatient lol ;_; I just want a solid release date

Drunk Tali was amazing <3Blue Rose wrote:Pray we can get Ryder hammered like Shepard. Drunk!Shepard was amazing.
Also yaaaaas @ Lady Krogan
So I ordered some clothes from Bioware and they came in yesterday and I love them all. I'll show you guys later (I am technically supposed to be working right now). Anyway, I was just so excited about it that I had to come in here and gloat. A shirt, a hoodie, and a sweater. <3
Edit: Also rumor is that there will only be 6 squad mates. This makes me sad but only because I'm greedy and what more.
