I'm waiting until I get to play myself to form an opinion but I have lowered my expectations after what I've seen of the game, still think I'm gonna enjoy it though.

Exactly my position as well. Honestly I'm actually more pissed off how they have marketed the game. Also if Jaal being straight is true then they've got some massive explaining to do to gay players because that is beyond « Snuggly Bunny » up.

I hope people are mistaken about Jaal, I mean the datamining does support him being bi I think? It would really suck if there's only one gay male romance who is once again a crew member that looks like he was generated in the character creator :/

I'm still super hyped about the game which is nice, I'll try to keep my expectations low though. I was kinda sad that it seems to most reviewers that the characters are pretty uninteresting. I think they look pretty cool myself but I hope I'm not also disappointed.

This whole are Jaal and Vetra bi or straight thing is pretty frustrating. The sources are contradicting each other. :/ Fingers crossed they're both bi. I'm not interested in Jaal myself but it'll be pretty crappy if we're the only ones with no alien nor squadmate romance options. And if Reyes is indeed not a full romance then it's just revolting. But I really think he's bi.

You can have a friends with benefits thing. I heard something like Liam was okay with you having PeeBee on the side, so I'm assuming it's the same with Jaal

Yeah wow they totally « Snuggly Bunny » it up for their gay fans. No squad member romances after DA:I gave 2. Even ME3 had Kaidan. I honestly don't get it. Then you get the super fleshed out straight dude romance scenes and stuff.

Only having two romances means gay men have to play another sexuality if they want to get the achievement, I think is what Rune is saying

Surprised at how people are acting about these facial animations as if they can't be corrected via a future patch. I have personally really enjoyed everything I've played so far. There is a lot of hate out there.

Also they are apparently fixing Sara Ryder's face day one? Not sure if this one is true but if so she looks a lot better and I almost want to go back and restart with default Ryder. Made my name Ida in my recent playthrough and miss people calling me Sara. Which I didn't think I would.

Yeah I think neither Reyes nor Gil gives the achievement but I hope what I read was wrong...

It seems to me that everyone except Keri and maybe Avela could potentially count toward the romance achievement as long as you don't just bang them and move on? Would be nice to have a confirmation considering you need 3 romances to get it. The guide sure isn't helping, vague af and strangely worded.

I think that default face that one streamer ended up with was either a glitch or an unpatched version of the game, default Sara is probably set in stone considering they use her in marketing and it would be strange to just stealth edit her so dramatically.

What exactly about the marketing bugged you Rope?

Basically the marketing around romances was « Male Cow Poopoo ». They kept telling people "play the game to find out!! We don't want to spoil anything!" But in two trailers they showed off Cora and PeeBee for straight dude Ryders. They also refused to answer questions when a lot of gay guys asked them if they would at least have a squad member romance. Now we know why, lol. They'd just reiterate that "everyone has more than one option" and keep teasing the "#prettygoodbanging" hashtag.

I feel bad for the guy who voices Bro Ryder because he kept hinting that there was bi Jaal. Unfortunately for him it seems like they cut the romance lines and content he had with him and now it looks like he was queerbaiting his followers who believed him.

They just handled everything so poorly. They should have listed it like DA:I and had been done with it. People would have had time to get over it or just not preorder it. But now some fans who were really gunning for bi Jaal are « Snuggly Bunny » if they bought it already and can't get a refund.

Guess it further shows why you shouldn't preorder games and wait until release if you're really banking on a specific thing being in a game, but honestly Bioware and EA's marketing really dropped the ball.
