I got to like 60-75% of Eos before I moved on. Went to Voeld and now its at 99% lol.

Which I'm kind of amazed by cause I still have lot to do??? But w/e. I found it really easy to get immersed in it tho.

Voeld is pretty interesting, but my only complaint is that
Spoiler:
there hardly anything but mountains/valleys and combat is a real « Baaaa *glomp* » cause of lack of cover. I pretty much gotta run into a battle scene and jump behind the nomad for cover.

I'm 80 percent Eos and 100 percent Voeld. About to go back to Eos because the environment is more stable and 100% it. I want to explore other planets but.. like.. I am not done with these yet. D:

I am having a lot of fun guys! I am so glad I took time off to play this! Liam keeps showing up shirtless.... I do NOT mind. ;}

Argh! These choices really are gray area. Here's another one:
Spoiler:
You may have noticed Gil and Kallo fighting about the Tempest? After you see the vault on Aya, they finally get into a huge argument and Ryder has to side with one of them. Kallo is all about respecting the tradition of his dead colleagues and what they went through while Gil wants to improve the Tempest against future threats. I'm going with Kallo in this run mainly because I wish he was a romance option and the Tempest is pretty impressive as it is. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me.
Edit: What's everyone's progress? I'm almost at 28 hours with 39% complete. I also finished up Liam's loyalty mission.

I apologize for dropping into the conversation like this, but how is the game? I'm kind of on fence buying it, I'd love to hear how you guys like it and how it compares to the 1-3 series!

It definitely has that ME1 feel and I like this better than ME1. The combat is the best in the series to me. mE2 still has the best characters, but this bunch has potential. As for the story, it has a slow start, but once you get to a certain point it has you hooked, like me. I definitely recommend it, but keep your expectations open as this is a new Galaxy far from the original trilogy.

Completely agreed with Ronin, it definitely has ME1 vibes and I also prefer it to ME1.

It does have some issues, animations, variations in alien appearances (most Asari look like Lexi) and is definitely buggy/janky. But I really love the characters even if they took a bit of time to grow on me.

If you play it be sure to read emails, data pads, etc as they give a ton of flavor text and are also really funny at times! Also if you get tired of a location move on and do something new. There are so many characters quests and side quests that you can easily find something fun to do without having to do the mindless fetch quests. Go into it with an open mind and I think you can have a lot of fun with it :D

Also this thread is definitely made for questions and whatnot so never feel like you're interuppting!

I laughed at loud at one of Drack's emails
Spoiler:
The Nigerian prince scam, where Vetra tells him it's a scam and he ends up sending a follow up email saying "it was a scam. Don't tell Vetra"
Started Jaal's romance and it's really cute so far.

That is hilarious. Not an email, but
Spoiler:
my favorite bunk notes was when Cora talks about evacuation protocols and tells Peebee that she was 2 minutes late and therefore dead. Peebee commented that she lives in an escape pod.
I started on Peebee's romance and it's kind of what I expected.
Spoiler:
She invited me into her escape pod and SAM turned off the gravity. She also invited me to spend quality time with her in zero g, but I told her I wanted to wait as I was interested in her and wanted strings attached.
Also doing Keri's romance because, hey, might as well flirt with all the asari.
Spoiler:
It's relatively boring, but she is a fling character and having a relationship with her won't effect any of the main 8. Looks like after the third interview she talks about wanting to get closer to you after the documentary is over and it'll be a one time thing.
With my new game + Bro!Ryder, I think I'll go for Vetra and Avela. Not a fan of the way the female Angora look, but my Bro!Ryder is all about the non-humanoid aliens.

Pretty much this. I think a lot of the reviews are way off because they're comparing it to ME2 or even ME3 in terms of story/development, and with characters who had 2-3+ games worth of development and interaction. It is more comparable to ME1 where the characters are definitely stronger to ME1'S cast.

Combat is fluid and fun, graphics are gorgeous, there is a lot of stuff to do and it isn't all fetch quests. Its incredibly overwhelming at first and has a deeeeep learning curve but once u get to a certain point u get hooked. I was initially incredibly frustrated with the game, but now I love it.

Its not without its flaws and its got some pretty significant ones, but honestly I rarely see any blaring ones.

My biggest complaints are
-battle glitches
-jank/dead eye look sometimes
-lack of save points in priority missions (but exploration mode this isn't an issue)
-freaking inventory size
-pitiful character creator options

And that's about it. Dialogue wise its good. Voice acting is A+. Tone wise it is VERY different. Its got a youthful explorer vibe versus battle hardened military commander kind of approach. I think that's what is probably throwing off most folks (that and comparing it to ME2). Its not bad, just different. And imo it fits the story and premise very well.

Thanks for telling me to get out of Eos guys, I rushed through the main quest and did some stuff in both Havarl and Veold, enjoying them a loooot more. Veold is enormous though! It's kind of overwhelming, especially since I need to work on setting up an outpost.

Jaal's email when you've been been flirting with him a lot is so cute ;; meanwhile Liam:
Spoiler:
just sends one saying "Thanks for talking to me, nuf said" after you make out on his dirty crusty couch what a charmer
Playing vanguard is as fun (and op) as its always been but there's a surprising amount of enemies with 1-hit KO attacks when you're in melee range... at least I'm basically invincible in regular fights.

the Remnant guy Peebee worked on and we can summon, but I like having extra guns.
Edit: I love and hate these gray moral choices. Cora's Loyalty Mission spoilers
Spoiler:
I finished up Cora's loyalty mission and I'm curious as to whether you guys would've exposed Serissa or kept it quiet. I'm going to let the asari know what happened to their pathfinder, but I don't know what this'll do.

I can't believe we have ex-Cerberus agents in Andromeda! I need to put a stop to this now!

I chose water because of the environment but I did feel guilty about the settlements. Some of these choices are legit hard man! Dag dangit morals.
I am only at 40 percent and I have played more than 40 hours worth. I still have so much to do, avoiding the main plot as much as I can because I am just having so much fun, return back to work tomorrow though so trying to soak in everything I can before then.
