Wii U version cancelled but they are instead developing for the Nintendo Switch!
I’m pleased to announce the official release dates for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of Stardew Valley!
Stardew Valley will launch in North America for the PS4 on December 13th, 2016.
Stardew Valley will launch in Europe for the PS4 and globally for the Xbox One on December 14th, 2016.
Pre-orders for the Xbox One (globally) and PS4 (Europe only) will begin on November 30th, 2016.
Stardew Valley will not be coming to the Wii U, however. Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch. I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley. I do want to emphasize that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this.
I kinda want to rebuy on PS4 but I also want to wait for the Switch version.
Oh no this is amazing. Such good news considering I just got my PS4 yesterday. *_* And I can essentially play it on my Vita with remote play!! AH. Handheld versions WOULD be amazing but I can understand how that would be a lot of work.
This is wonderful news! But now I don't know which system to get it on. I'll probably get it for the Switch so I can have games for it and for portability.
Nice! Not sure if I'd get PS4 version or wait for the Switch version (I can wait since I'm kinda tight on money now sadly), but we'll see. I already have my eyes on other games, so I'd probably rebuy this later.
I admit to be disappointed it won't come out on the WiiU, since there's next to no chance of me upgrading to a Switch in the near future. But I still have it on my computer, so whatever, I'll survive.
Pretty excited this is on the PS4! I mean I already have it on Steam but maybe this'll be a little more incentive to get a PS4? Right now the only other game I want is Persona 5...

$15 USD! Can be preordered now for those who are interested. Then again it's only a few days from releasing, so lol
The game is out for PS4 today! Did anyone get it? I'm strongly considering it because it's fun to play, but the controller mapping is the same as on PC. That's not a bad thing, just something to note.
Awesome news! I won't be repurchasing it for my consoles but I've recommended this to a few people who don't game on PCs (console gamers) and now they can play!
I am going to have to buy the Nintendo Switch. Oh money hard to get so easy to goooooooooo.
