@Shan: no, I found him super annoying when I played the game and he's like that 99% of the time unless you specifically romance him.
He's definitely not going to be my second file choice....not even in my top three.

Ford would be my last choice. He's one of those guys who doesn't stick out for me. My list is: Wayne/Hinata (I seriously can't decide now!), Inari, Woofio (yes, the dog), Yuzuki, Ludus and Ford.

Y'know, I think Hinata is going to knock me over unexpectedly (or rather, expectedly now that I said it). There is just a... je ne sais quoi, I guess, about a guy that is good with kids. And he's a little tropey in a very anime way that I like.

Like Fin I'm not a fan of Ford at all, but glad there's a lot of folks who dig him!

Yeah I have a feeling that Hinata is going to be one of the underdog characters that a lot of people will initially overlook, but grow to love pretty quickly. I've heard he has some adorable events so I'm looking forward to seeing them myself.

Hinata may grow on me, as Arcy said there's something about a guy who's great with kids. Now I'm imagining him with his own child omg.

He wouldn't be so bad if he wouldn't take things seriously.

Well yeah, but...the reason why Ford is so uptight about cleanliness/etc is actually really serious, so...I'm not sure he's capable of being anything but uptight about it at the start of the game. And him becoming a little less uptight and awkward is part of his progression. :)

There's only one Ford out there for me, and he's not from this.

But IDK, I almost wanna marry one of the girls now since Inari has been stripped of children. I'd marry them if they lived with me with no kids like some people initially were guessing but neither spouse nor kids? IDK guys.

All the girls are so great but the one with the likely heavily gendered convos might be an issue. Bout half the time anyway.

It's only as serious as you make it, and if you befriend him normally you don't get to see any "progression". I never saw an inkling of awkwardness from Ford despite putting nearly 100 hours into my file, I first heard of it when people referred to a fan blogging about him.

Unless you romance him there is very little progression and I feel like his humorlessness has less to do with childhood trauma and more to do with simply the type of character he is.

@Kikki, I get your point however, I have to agree with Nightlight on one thing, reason why I wish he wasn't so serious.
Nightlight wrote: I find it funny that he expects you to be well-groomed when you visit his clinic. Because what if you broke your leg? Does he expect you to be like "oh, my leg's broken. I better go to the clinic, but first I have to take a shower, make sure my hair is done up properly, and put on some nice clothes that I'm absolutely sure has no dust on it."
Ford, honey, sometimes getting yourself cleaned up before going to the clinic is just not an option .

Barely any characters will change if you don't pursue them romantically in this game; Wayne will always like a cheap flirt, Yuzuki stays in his carefree bubble life act, Kasumi is forever an androgynist, Komari will never develop a personal interest...And then there is Woofio.

The similar characters template have happened before (though I am mostly thinking for RF4 characters, like Kiel) and isn't that the whole point of romancing a character? To see if they will develop, show their true color or stay unfortunately same despite all the effort you have taken for romancing them.

I thought the reason for the additional flower events was to get to know their personalities? Of course, this would not be applicable if you play as guy (I think?)

I'm looking forward to Yuzuki's introduction. He feels like a sweetheart to me. XD As for Ford, he reminds me of Jade Curtiss as well.

Yes, and the additional 3 preating events are counted as the romantic events, which mean you do already make an effort to pursue them.

Not to mention that if you play as a character with the similar gender with your character, you will never see those 3 predating events and you will learn that part of the candidates when they start to fall/show interest with your PC, like reasons for Wayne's fondness of stard and Kasumi's androgynist attitude.
