Okay, I just happened to see this 3DS game at Game Stop and bought it on impulse. It's promising to be one trippy game, maybe even more so than the Zero Escape series. Has anyone else here played this game? I'd love to know what other people think about this game. Also, any tips for getting started? Or maybe tips on what I should look out for?
I'm also thinking of maybe giving the manga a try. Has anybody read the manga? What did you think about it?

I played it on the PSP and was very happy with what I got. Don't let the graphics get you down as the voice acting, sound effects, and writing greatly make up for it. Like, I was seriously spooked out walking around my house at night because of this game, and there's a point where I just got so mad at a character for playing another/me like a fiddle that I realized I was too invested lol. Honestly, I'd place Corpse Party above any of the Zero Escape games though they deal with different elements of horror in my opinion.
iirc the manga has needless fanservice so if you're fine with that go ahead. I couldn't get through it.

Corpse Party is one of my favorite series.
Definitely play with your headphone/earbuds on! Corpse Party uses 3D binaural audio for immersion. Also, save often and save at different save files. That would make it easier for backtracking to get the wrong ends. The wrong ends are actually some of exciting parts of the game. The 3DS version is the latest and the definitive version of Corpse Party (new extra chapters and endings, etc). Also, make sure to check every corpse to get nametags, and inspect everything (shelves, windows, notes, etc). If you don't want to get lost, you can look for a guide to get all the endings, especially the last chapter where getting true end has plenty of requirements (hence I advise you to make multiple saves).
There are several manga of Corpse Party. Blood Covered is the adaptation of the game, though it deviates a little from the game, which is pretty refreshing spin once you've played the game. Musume, on the other hand, is an ero-guro, so it contains lots of ecchi element, and is a combination of the new Corpse Party (the one you're playing is actually a remake) and the old version of Corpse Party for PC-98. There are also OVA adaptation, a live-action movie, and other manga adaptations of the sequels and several spin-offs if you're interested.

Yay! I am so happy people are playing this! I had no idea about this game until randomly finding it on a list of games coming out for 3ds. I randomly bough the special edition and don't regret it one bit! This game totally rocked! Luph n joii gave some seriously solid advice. I wish I had thought to come on here before starting this game. I still have to go back to get all the wrong endings (because who knew I was playing the game so right? Smh). Yuka's story got my heart racing, but so did most of this game, lol. I wish there were more like it.
