I completely disagree that the characters don't have soul. In fact, I think SV has one of the most interesting, well-rounded casts of any video game ever. To those who only started it and stopped because of the dialogue, you're really missing out on some intense character development! And I quite like most of the dialogue, not really sure what there is to complain about. It's definitely not a coincidence that the ones who say the characters are boring are the ones who only played the game for one day. It'd be sloppy if all of the character development happened in the beginning of the game...
That's one of the things I love about this game, it isn't just the love interests who have a lot of cut scenes and problems. Stardew Valley is by far one of my favourite games now, I'm so glad I gave it a chance.

I know what you mean. I think George has interesting character development, even if I hate it.Terra575 wrote:I completely disagree that the characters don't have soul. Oooh I didn't know that! My file is in a same « Chicken Hugging » marriage, but I don't talk to George much, so I'll have to try that. And I've been considering marrying Alex in the future, with a male MC, and I agree that it'd be cool if there was a specific scene for them.Ronin19 wrote:Spoiler:
Alex is a character who definitely grew on me. At first he just seems like a shallow jock, but then when you get to know more about him it's really rewarding. I love how SV seems to have a lot of trope characters, but many of those stereotypes get turned on their head. He's a sweeeetie
