i'd like to point out that BoTW is being put out by a HUGE company that has way more means and resources than XSeed does, so its not surprising that a game like that you will definitely receive on release day, as opposed to a few days afterwards for a more niche game like SOS.
I totally get wanting to get the game on release/as soon as possible, but it's a little ridiculous to compare this game to BoTW in terms of demand, especially for release day delivery.

As far as I am concerned, that's not what I was trying to do. XSEED certainly does not have the resources that Nintendo does by any stretch. I don't think I can successfully convey here what I was actually trying to say, so never mind lol.
Nonetheless, I am grateful they corrected the release date, and I know they will get the product to me eventually. And there are always digital copies if waiting a few days won't happen.

I only brought up BoTW because it was the only game I could think of that was coming out soon, and I was curious as far as what FrankieStein was asking about with the expected release date.
3oT is the first third-party game I've ordered with Amazon's Prime bonus, so I'm not really sure what to expect. At this point I'm just satisfied that they've updated the release date, and I'm not super worried about getting the game a little late, anyway.

For niche games, they still arrive on time, at least for the ones I have ever preordered, they arrived the day they were supposed to. I got my Fate Extella on release date as the most recent thing I preordered. Amazon is just lazy and doesn't change the release date till a short while before the game comes out if it is niche. I know a few days before the date changed, I sent an email inquiring about it and left a few links showing the actual release date, which I got a response saying they would tell the people who handle such things about it. I guess if more people sent such emails earlier on, it would have changed earlier.gossipstone wrote:I only brought up BoTW because it was the only game I could think of that was coming out soon, and I was curious as far as what FrankieStein was asking about with the expected release date.

Preordered it at the local GameStop. Gonna do a mad dash from my school that's ~12 miles north of the GameStop (which sounds like it'll take no time at all, but hey welcome to New York) after my class ends at 7 PM to try to get there before they close. It'll be interesting to say the least how that goes.
I do wonder if there'll be retailers breaking street date like they did for the last one. As far as I know, the retailer who did so last time isn't selling the games at all. They probably got in trouble.

Does anyone know if BestBuy will be providing capybara plushies for peorders? Or is it just like Amazon and Gamestop?
I posted this question on their support forums but it's been a while with no response, so I thought I'd see if anyone here knows.
Anyway, I'm probably gonna preorder this tonight.
I'm finding it difficult to wait. This always happens. I'm fine for the months and months leading up to a release but the last couple of weeks are torture. P:

I believe you can get the pre order plush with BestBuy. They have a pic of it on their website. It is also mentioned in the product features.Ehppy wrote:Does anyone know if BestBuy will be providing capybara plushies for peorders? Or is it just like Amazon and Gamestop?

STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns introduces the capybara pet, and this adorable addition to the farm will be coming to life as a pre-order bonus 'pocket plushie' standing 3.5" tall. While supplies last.
I like the way you think!Autumn_Song wrote:This makes me wonder just how many copies I can coerce people to buy me for my birthday.
Should say so on the web page where you preorder from.Ehppy wrote:Does anyone know if BestBuy will be providing capybara plushies for peorders? Or is it just like Amazon and Gamestop?

Ah, thank you! I don't know how I missed that, I skimmed the page but didn't think to look too hard in that section.
When I've preordered games through Best Buy before, they're always have a section to the side somewhere near the preorder button that mentions the bonus, so I guess I was too focused looking for that.
Too bad, I can't seem to find an edit button on their support forums hahah.

Im not really worried about the fact that it doesnt specifically say it will arrive on that date, as someone else already said they dont always update it. the most recent game i can remember pre ordering was digimon next order, and that one also didnt specify that it would be here same day. it still showed up the day it was supposed to, amazon just never updated the info on the page. i have pre ordered a few other things like that as well, so i wouldnt be too concerned about it

Digimon got to us release day like 11 am CST. Digimon is part of why I've been confused why Amazon has been a big bag of butts about this honestly. I'm like... I don't think that's first party so... « What The Eggplant ».Fishy wrote:Im not really worried about the fact that it doesnt specifically say it will arrive on that date, as someone else already said they dont always update it. the most recent game i can remember pre ordering was digimon next order, and that one also didnt specify that it would be here same day. it still showed up the day it was supposed to, amazon just never updated the info on the page. i have pre ordered a few other things like that as well, so i wouldnt be too concerned about it
I've been too excited for this, sorry jinxed us all.
This talk of anyone actually owning FOUR copies makes me wonder...just how many files do you guys usually have? What options are you trying to explore, if you need EIGHT files? Is it just for the purpose of being able to marry eight different candidates and keep those files permanently? Do you run different experiments in each one, or something?
I'll have two copies and I MIGHT not even end up needing the second copy and simply give it to my sis. I can't imagine playing the game eight times over from scratch (not even with the 'miracle' personality available.)

From someone who sat through the opening of SoS three times, I think they're doing it for amusement. Well, I'd do it for amusement....Kikki wrote:This talk of anyone actually owning FOUR copies makes me wonder...just how many files do you guys usually have?
