Couple of things i've noticed

if everyone immediately does the trading items at the plinth, we all seem to get the same thing (i saw this happen several times, but perhaps it was the item we were putting in effecting the payout that round?)
the most notable instance was everyone put in fodder, got a weed, put in the weed, and then we all got a diamond. (unless it just visually shows us getting the same thing. i hadn't considered that but maybe thats it)

Stamina isn't consumed, so you can fish to your hearts conent, pick them up in the game, and then go back to fishing in mp.

I think it's supposed to be random.

It IS random, but only per session. I've noticed, even if I do it first or way later than everyone else (and everyone else has now left), it's always the same 3 items that each person gets.

I'm just happy we can easily give people items though by doing essentially 4 at a time.
