Hey guys! I figured there are probably a lot of you like me who hate being caught with a need for an item in a season where its no longer available! Now while I have seen certain things around the forum and tumblr mentioned to be stored away, it would probably super useful to us hoarders to know specific items we'd best be squirreling. Hopefully this can become a heads up thread for everyone to let you know what you will need, when, and how many. Since I know a few items but not how many or why or where they come from I'll let some one who knows more post it. Thanks for all your help and collected knowledge!!

Generally I only check the first page. That one did only get one reply but I am looking for specific info. Not just suggestions to save some herbs and stuff. Like things you may want to keep to prevent from hitting a story line or quest snag that you'd have to wait till a certain season next year to complete. But a sort of example of this would be:

SAVE PHILOSOPHER STONES. (2 I think) If you are lucky enough to get one, make sure to hide it away for upgrades as they be harder to find than you realize!

5 Ruby and 5 Amethyst for that second Hammer upgrade so you can get at the dig site next to the post office.

Coconuts. Dunno why. Just read it some where.

15 Vanilla. Also dunno why. Just read it.

Thyme. Again.. Dunno.

You'll need 10 Lumber and 10 Small lumber for your Second West town Rank upgrade!

While some of this stuff may be easily found on the guide, a lot of people wont bother to sift through the info or go looking for it by the time its too late. Being given a heads up not to sell certain temptingly priced gems is a good to know! Other things like:

97 or 98 Moonstone for some Wizard house style. Its apparently very popular? Dunno what it looks like but I'll probably want it.

^^^^^ You need like.. A dozen or so Poison Mushrooms too which are a rare find but now you know if you see it, dont sell!

This one is useful, I think.
And tip, grow and save 30 sweet potatoes for a rank cap. I think you need these sweet potatoes to unlock Westown rank C? I could be wrong...

What about Quills? (red/blue/yellow) They seem like a pretty decent source of early-game money, but are they used for anything?

I wasn't sure, but thot they might be used as dye or something so I'm hoarding them for the moment.
