This is not my first HM game. I planted my radishes before I went to town. I bought more plants, planted them and now im on day 13 and nothing is growing. Potatoes have sprouts. Radishes still look like seedlings. This is so weird. I water them til they're black. I don't get it.

What day did you plant them? I planted mine the first day I got them, and they finished growing and harvested on Spring 9th...

Make sure to hold down A until the watering can stops on its own. If you release early, it may not get a full water. Don't worry about overwatering - a quick A check will tell you if you've already watered the crop - the watering can simply won't work.

If that's not the issue, perhaps you have encountered a strange bug?

Update: I planted more radishes after I harvested my first ones. I just harvested these ones on Spring 14th (9th to 14th until harvest.) I water them very first thing in the morning though. Is that an issue maybe? It sounds like you already knew about the watering mechanic (automatically stops watering when fully black soil.) But if not, then that could be the issue for sure.

As soon as he gave me the seeds. I have never had this happen. I dont even have wilty seedlings. I water until it tells me I cant water anymore. It has to be a glitch. Starting a new game.

Oh wow... I would personally play a few more days just to make sure... Maybe the personality you picked could be effecting it? Sorry to hear it isn't working though

Maybe you don't water them all the way?

You can't just 'water' like in previous games, you have to keep watering (hold down the A button) until the plot is completely saturated and stops you from watering anymore.

It was definitely a glitch. Started a new game and got my crops on the 8th.

The same thing is happening to me. No change in growth and I have been holding the A button down.

There may be some bugged seeds. Planted 4 of the initial 5 radish seeds - one harvest on day 8, two on day 9, one refuses to even sprout. All watered equally. Will wait it out, otherwise I guess I can hoe the bad seeds and start over.

Nothing's happened to me. I've never heard of this possible game breaking glitch. Yikes.

It happened with me too, I planted 4 radish and 4 potato. Strange thing the one I put fertilizer grow slower than the rest. Not sure it is glitch or fertilizer makes it grow slower?

Would flowers not growing after a certain stage count as part of this glitch?

It was one of the starting flowers (not the Marguerite), they grew up a little bit but stopped growing after a while. I left and watered them all season, I thought maybe I needed to harvest them but pressing A or trying to chop them down didn't work.

I've had no issues growing anything else though so far.
