For those who have completed the game, how long did it take you to get to rank A/S?
Also, are there any beginner tips on what to do/hoard? From what I know, there's quite a bit of hoarding involved.
Sorry if this is a silly question, I haven't been keeping up with the game (and the series in general). ><
Just curious..

I had all towns to S rank by the end of fall year 3, but I played seedling mode.
As for what to hoard: black lumber/branches/stone/rocks, thyme, most herbs actually (especially the seasonal ones), scrap ore (if you plan on making lots of clothing), pearls, basically all of the mine items
Also, once you have a disposable income it would be a good idea to go talk to Moriya every Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a festival). Every week he has a random item to sell you and often it's between 5-10 of a rare ore, sometimes even pearls. You never know when you might need something

i've been working hard and i'm around summer 12th or so... and all 3 towns are c rank while west town and tsuyu are in the lock for b rank, just gotta wait till fall for west town, soon lulukoko will be at the lock too within a few days... so not terribly bad
