I suppose Carrie might have had a more competent talent and upbringing in her cooking, but Carrie's general attitude and love of food makes her come off like a matured Maya from Tree of Tranquility or Animal Parade.

Not to mention Brad's passion reminds me of someone else.

Man, imagine if Luke had been the chef. He and Maya might have got along as quite the couple.

I wanted to murder Maya in Animal Parade (she was fine in Tree of Tranquility, but her AP dialogue was the worst kind of grating). Carrie hasn't sparked that kind of homicidal rage in me yet.
