Well it will help if you either have a kitchen or money to burn, because you'll be using up a lot of stamina.
There are two kinds of trees on your farm. The roundish leafy ones can be chopped down for twigs, which can be further chopped into small lumber. The tall skinny ones, ditto for branches and lumber.
The only catch is that it takes a lot of chopping, and the unimproved axe burns a lot of stamina, so you'll need to eat a lot, either your own meals, or run into town to buy a meal every time you run low.
The bright side is that chopping progress is stored, even over many days. Ideally, you should only chop down fully-grown trees. I'm not sure that the progress wouldn't reset if a tree finished growing halfway through, and besides, you'd be wasting effort with half-grown trees.

You can grow lumber trees in your farm, as in the previous game.LightHawKnight wrote:Chopped down all my trees, is that going to be the only way to get more lumber from now on?Musashi wrote:You can buy them in a shop in Westown. From the 4 shops in the center of the city, it is the second from the left.
