Delivery Questions

So I have a couple questions about deliveries:
1) Is there any negative effects for failing a delivery? The part time guy warns you not to but I haven't seen any negative effects yet.
2) Are there any tricks for finding the faceless NPCs to deliver to? I'm going nuts running around trying to find this guy. I know they have the stars over their heads but is there anything else like a map icon I am missing?

I've read that failing has no impact. No matter how much that dude yells.
I failed a flower delivery to Miranda. Ran all over getting close to women - no Miranda. Next day I realized it was the shop lady...right next door to the flower shop. >_<
Haven't had one to a random NPC but then I can't remember Anybody's name, obviously. Gonna just do shipping and action jobs now.

The little blue button on the bottom right of the map can toggle the villagers names on -- I've found that very helpful, since I mostly quick-greet people, and don't remember everyone's names.

The only NPC that you have to worry about is the guy who works with Wayne I pretty sure. He's the only NPC that has asked me to deliver stuff to actual characters. No one has ever asked me to deliver anything to him. I have all three villages unlocked but I'm still not too far in game so that might change. So far it hasn't yet.

Is his name Ethan? That's the NPC who has asked me twice now, and both times I could not find him.Kross lover/fan wrote:The only NPC that you have to worry about is the guy who works with Wayne I pretty sure. EDIT: Yes, that's Ethan. D'OH. He was in a store. *Shakes head*

Thanks for the replies/info everyone! I guess the faceless guy in the post office really threw me off! (Well he did, I kept talking to him behind the counter and he wasn't saying he had a delivery for me, so I figured he must be the one I was delivering to, until I realized the game is smarter than me and it doesn't mark them until you need to deliver to them.)
when i don't know who i'm trying to find i go the here http://fogu.com/sos2/the-towns/villagers/index.html
then just look at the map for any face icons that match... that being the case i have watched many people go "« What The Eggplant » who is Marco" and search all the faceless npcs... and never find him... Marco is the old man from the restaurant who goes fishing at the river

He also doesn't give you the deliveries unless you're speaking to him in front of the counter from what I've experienced.Melody Muse wrote:Thanks for the replies/info everyone!
