Does anyone know if it is worth using Sparkly Fertilizer on the first stage of crops (when seeds have not sprouted yet)? I don’t want to waste my fertilizer...

Fertilizer is pretty idiot-proof in this game, thankfully; you can't mess up and waste a fertilizer on a crop doesn't benefit from it.
