Which/who is the best...
1. Town Leader: Megan, Tototara, or Ginjiro?

Tototara hands down. I love her sense of humor and she instantly felt like my own grandmother. She's one of the few I always stop to actually talk to (as in not just pressing the L button and walking off) and I admire her for having to deal with the twins and Ludus all on her own.

2. Restaurant: Garden Grill, Carosello Café, or Tea-ful Reunion?

Garden Grill. I hate Westown but the Garden Grill feels like a place I'd actually go to, plus they have music! Not only that but I love the events that happen there, Carrie is hilarious and I love the friendship Ford, Wayne and Brad have. Also the carosello only sells drinks and ice cream...and I don't like having to talk to Ginjiro.

3. New Year's Celebration: Fireworks Show, Bonfire Dance, or Bell Ringing?

Bonfire dance, simply because I think it's nice to have another cultural approach than just Asian or Western. Also it felt really spiritual which I find intriguing.

4. Trilympics Event: Egg Hunt, Fishing Tournament, or Daruma Hunt?

Egg hunt and Daruma hunt are the same thing, but the Darumas are cuter so I choose the Daruma hunt! Although I'm happy I finally got my easter-esque festival. I hate fishing, my dad used to force me to wake up with him to fish, and I never fish in games unless it's RF so the fishing festival is boring to me.

5. Romantic Festival: Starry Night, Luminance, or Tanabata?

I didn't get to go to the Tanabata festival at all, but I suppose I would go with the Luminance festival...hot air balloons are cool though, but I'd rather go with Ludus than Wayne or Ford.

6. Part-Time Job Dude: Horatio, Hoala, or Rikyu?

They're all basically the same to me, but maybe Hoala? Just because his name is a letter away from koala.

7. Transportation Method: Stage Coach, Elephant Taxi, or Palanquin?

Elephant taxi! Elephants are adorable. Who wants a horse-that you can just buy yourself- when you can ride on an elephant?

8. Old Man: Marco, Haulani, or Umekichi?

I talked to Umekichi more, but I think Haulani is cool because I got to learn about him in an event. The guy has an interesting background which means a lot to me for a character, so I'm going with Haulani.

9. Old Woman: Megan, Tototara, or Omiyo?

Tototara, I love the lady. Omiyo is pretty adorable too, though.

10. Town Guardian: Dessie, Witchie, or Inari?

Oddly enough...Dessie. In SoS I loved Witchie way more, but for some reason in this game I visited her the least. Dessie is such a sweetheart in this game, and much less annoying. Inari...means absolutely nothing to me so I don't even consider them an option.

11. Young Boy: Colin, Schalk, or Yaichi?

Schalk, I dislike all of them though. But I got a lot of events with Schalk that were somewhat cute and his family redeems him.

12. Young Girl: Noel, Alma, or Sumomo?

Alma. I respect Noel only because she can see Dessie, and I think she and Colin are cute but only when they're together as childhood sweethearts. Alma is adorable and her comments about the bachelors amused me. Sumomo I respect for trying hard but I barely talk to her (I just press L and leave)

13. Older Boy: Tigre or Tatsumi? (no Westown equivalent)

I love both of them equally. They're both polite sweethearts and I wish they were older so they could be candidates. That said, I'm fine with being both of their stand in big sisters. Tigre also makes me miss Sanjay...and Tatsumi makes me dislike Hinata even more. It's odd Westown has no equivalent...

14. Frustratingly Already-Married Woman: Carrie, Caolila, or Shizu?

Caolila, although I very much want her to stay married to Zahau, I wish she was my mom. Her and Zahau's family have become my favorite bokumono family. This woman is a beast and the people in town know it and I adore her because of it. I thank Shizu for having Tatsumi and making the 3 outfits I decided I wanted from Tsuyukasa. Carrie is...nice enough. She's like a better version of AP's Maya and I like that she sees me as her little sister. She's nowhere near as amazing as Caolila though. I'd switch Caolila for Marlena any day.

15. Frustratingly Already-Married Man: Brad, Zahau, or Ittetsu?

None of them. Brad and Zahau are good buds though. Both of them have quirky wives and are really nice guys. I have never spoken to Ittetsu outside of pressing L and I don't want to.

Which/who is the best...

I think Tototara is the best. I think it has something to do with the fact that she looks like Mulan's grandma. I loved that lady. She was awesome. And when Tototara talks and I read her words, I hear the voice from Mulan's crazy but lovable grandma. Which adds to the experience. I also love her GIAGANTIC DOG.

2. Restaurant: Garden Grill, Carosello Café, or Tea-ful Reunion?

Garden Grill. I love Carrie and Brad for one. And Ford and Wayne eating together like Bro's makes me smile, plus the Omelette Rice has been my go to for the first full year of my game...

3. New Year's Celebration: Fireworks Show, Bonfire Dance, or Bell Ringing?

There were elements of all three that I loved, But I like the bonfire dance the best. It's magestic and magical and symbolic and DEEP. Which is different from the other towns and I love watching the characters dance all tribal. It's so cool!

4. Trilympics Event: Egg Hunt, Fishing Tournament, or Daruma Hunt?

So far I've only done Egg Hunt and Fishing tourney. Both games were pretty fun, and I won both times, but I had a better time with Egg Hunt because I don't... like... fishing much in the newer games....

5. Romantic Festival: Starry Night, Luminance, or Tanabata?

I've only gotten to do Starry night so far... but Hot air baloons? Thats pretty sweet!~

6. Part-Time Job Dude: Horatio, Hoala, or Rikyu?

Uhh... I always hit up Hoala because I start from left to right in picking up jobs from the towns... And he's so close to all of the Lulukoko town jobs so running back and forth is super easy.

I LOVE THE ELEPHANT. BUT.... My favorite transoprtation method is actually picking part time jobs that start right away in the towns I need to get to. Not only do I not have to pay for it, but... I get PAID, am close to where I wanna be, and GET A JOB DONE all in one sweep.

Dessie! She's totes adorbs! I cant get over how cute and sweet she is. And she's deffinately more fun and cool then the normal HG. But I love how all three of them are kiddie guardians. they're all great. especially when theyre playing or hanging together.

11. Young Boy: Colin, Schalk, or Yaichi?

I think Colin is adorable. And he's an artist AND he's into scary stories. I think he and I are l would be besties if I lived in this particular HM world.

12. Young Girl: Noel, Alma, or Sumomo?

Alma. She totally won my heart today after seeing a friend event where she makes a present for her dad and forces him to eat it...

13. Older Boy: Tigre or Tatsumi? (no Westown equivalent)

Tigre. He looks like a YOUNG version of one of my favorite OC's so I have a hard time separating how I think of the two. He's also just... adorable.

14. Frustratingly Already-Married Woman: Carrie, Caolila, or Shizu?

Caolila. She's gorgeous and just... the best mom. She's funny too.

15. Frustratingly Already-Married Man: Brad, Zahau, or Ittetsu?

Zahau. I've seen quite a number of friend events where he's in them and he's ruggedly-bulky-handsom in a way while being an excellent yet derpy and adorkable guy.

I'm really loving reading everyone's responses. It's making me see some characters in a new light, which I think is great. You all have your own unique impressions of the characters, and I love that we're sharing them.

Tallying up all of the responses would be interesting...I can do it, but if anyone here would prefer to do it, please go right ahead. Or if you each would like to just put the tallies for your own post (like Peachy did--great idea, by the way!), I could add them up much quicker.

And yeah, using the part time jobs to warp around is something I still rely on. 'Cause you're right, you don't have to pay and you get paid!

When I was tallying up my post, I remember there was much more of a pressure to decide on one specific thing instead of letting two events tie... so it may not work as well with everyone's answer style, but it's definitely cool to see all your answers tallied up like that. It made my answers able to me much less lenient. The only ones I let myself not choose were the ones I legitimately COULD NOT (the married women one aaaaahhhghghgh) or did not give 1 mouse about

Megan, because her kind yet reserved nature appeals to me. Gingiro's appearance is unfortunate, and Tototora is cute, but I get tired of listening to how she was admired when she was young.

2. Restaurant: Garden Grill, Carosello Café, or Tea-ful Reunion?
Garden Grill. Frank and Miranda, enough said.

3. New Year's Celebration: Fireworks Show, Bonfire Dance, or Bell Ringing?
Having seen all of them, probably Fireworks. I found it to be the most active and joyful, how I personally feel a NY celebration should be. Dance was too much dancing for my taste.

NOT fishing. The other two are basically the same.

Luminance when you actually participate, but the concept of Starry Night is the most fun to me.

Inari is heckin adorable. I love all three of them, though. Espcially when they interact with one another (Poor Dessie is so bad at magic...)

Just skimming through everyone's posts, it seems like Tototara has a pretty hefty lead over Megan and Ginjiro, Hoala is the most favored PTJ Dude (no surprise there, when his contenders are Horatio and Rikyu), and Colin is winning the Young Boy category.

The others seem to have more balance--Omiyo is giving Tototara a run for her money in the Old Lady category (poor Megan), while Alma and Sumomo are battling out over who is the best Young Girl.

I could be wrong, this is just what I thought looking over the posts.

Garden Grill hands down. There is so much going on, it feels like a restaurant that you could go to in real life. Thanks to Brad, Wayne, and Ford... It's never boring, either.

Fire Works Show! I felt the other two seemed too slow paced. The Bonfire Dancing got a little old by the time the twins were just starting the second distinguish dance to be honest...

Fishing Tournament has slight more skill and luck in it's game? That being said I totally kicked booty at the egg hunt.... I do enjoy winning... So, Egg Hunt. lol

I only got the game this month so I haven't year one and I haven't some of these things. So I'll answer what I can for now and then post an updated version later.

Which/who is the best...
1. Town Leader: Megan, Tototara, or Ginjiro?
Tototara is my fave. Though Megan is a close second.

2. Restaurant: Garden Grill, Carosello Café, or Tea-ful Reunion?
Tea-ful Reunion.

6. Part-Time Job Dude: Horatio, Hoala, or Rikyu?
Umm...Rikyu? I guess? XD

9. Old Woman: Megan, Tototara, or Omiyo?
Tototara again.

10. Town Guardian: Dessie, Witchie, or Inari?
Inari - hands down; no contest. I adore them. They're super adorable and have an amazing character design. I would love for them to appear again in future games. Or the adult version, Vixeni. Now, if in the next game they included the adult version Vixeni as a marriage candidate then I might be interested.

11. Young Boy: Colin, Schalk, or Yaichi?
I don't talk to the kids much but I think I'll go with Colin.

12. Young Girl: Noel, Alma, or Sumomo?
Don't talk to the kids much but I really like Sumomo.

14. Frustratingly Already-Married Woman: Carrie, Caolila, or Shizu?
Caolila - she's so beautiful.

15. Frustratingly Already-Married Man: Brad, Zahau, or Ittetsu?
None, honestly. XD
