The game doesn't release until May 19, but pre-orders for the standard and limited editions are open. I preordered a limited edition from GameStop this morning (Amazon is sold out and I really love the Alm, Celica, and Marth pins).

So what is everyone thinking about the game? Excited? Uninterested? Neutral?

I'm very exited!

I've always wanted to play older FE games, but the interfaces were kind of a problem. Can't wait to see what they'll come up with, and I love seeing them return to older games.

Not sure which version I'm gonna get. The LE is tempting, but a bit expensive...

I am, too. Kind of bummed about not having an MC and the unknown state of the support conversations, but the whole Valentia gameplay (dungeons, multiple armies, etc.) more than makes up for it.

I thought this game looked cool at first and I love Hidari art but the lack of supports make this a pretty hard sell for me. I'll probably wait for it to come out and see what people say about it.

So is it confirmed that there are no support conversations? Even just platonic (something along the lines of the heart-to-hearts in Xenoblade Chronicles, maybe?)

I don't expect children in this title
Spoiler:
and after the deeprealms, I don't think I want them?
but it'd be nice to see the characters be able interact and form friendships.

It's not confirmed, but their silence on it doesn't signal good news. I feel like if it were there they would've mentioned it already.

I'm looking forward to this. Wish I could have gotten the LE though. :(

It's looking great so far, and I like how there's an "overworld" kinda thing (omg what is it called really) for dungeons and towns. I probably won't buy it on release day though, I still have so much backlog /sweats but I enjoyed FE:A and Fates a lot, so I'll definitely play this in the future!

I'm excite for it. My birthday is exactly a week later on May 26, so I plan on treating myself to it for a birthday gift.

Support conversations are confirmed by this reddit AMA. They work like the GBA supports and the conversations happen on the battlefield.

Very good to hear, though I hope they won't be as difficult to get as I've heard they were in the GBA games

I've never played the GBA versions, but at least we have supports! Super excited about that!
