Man with how much stuff you gotta micromanage and all the stuff you gotta do i haven't even touched certain stuff like dvds/movies/etc. No time to spend on anything else. The lack of being able to do stuff at nights after doing plot stuff really breaks the flow of the gameplay imo. Really shouldn't have done that.

On a side note I'm not getting the issue of the heart change stuff? Like why is it considered a bad/controversial thing?

Lol I spent my 2 weeks of freedom after the second dungeon just straight stat grinding and I still feel like I barely got anywhere in it

And it's June so I still have plenty of time but tbh I just want to get that done so I can focus on slinks.

At least Kindness is really good to grind at the flower shop since it gives +2 and money.

At some point I want to do Mementos stuff but that stuff just feels like time that I could've spent grinding a stat or doing slink stuff.

Felt like it was pretty fitting since it's a group taking up arms against adults cracks me up whenever I see it in text. "A group called 'KidsNextDoor'...?

Music is good so far, and I'll probably be buying the OST. I don't think it's nearly as strong as P4 and P3's were...and I think a lot of this has to do with the choice to not to do vocals for many songs? I feel like it's notable that all my favorites so far are vocal stuff like Last Surprise (regular battle theme) and Life Will Change (this is super hype). The opening is amazing too. I do like some of the non-vocal stuff though, like A Woman (second dungeon theme), Regret and Tokyo Emergency (school/city theme I guess).

The whole second dungeon just felt like an excuse to do the classic

museum heist in spy/thief media but maaaaan did I love everything about it even if Madarame was pretty lame as a villain.

Oh and not a particular spoiler but just an animation involving Yusuke when you pick locks in the dungeons:

I lost my « Cow Poopoo » when the MC picked the locked chest and Yusuke was standing their acting all "2cool4school" but then he saw what was inside and got super excited and started jumping around lololol

The music is nice but there's not a lot of standouts for me yet, I really like Beneath the Mask with vocals though (I forget when this song plays? at night?) and the weapon shop music.

The mementos song is « Harvest Goddess » awful, what was Meguro thinking lol

Other than that it's a decent OST with a few amazing standouts but I vastly prefer the previous games in that regard I think.

The music CD that came with the TYH edition doesn't have Rivers in the Desert. Riot.

My Amazon preorder got delayed since I missed the email they sent to me about my card being declined(it was an old expired one) so I cancelled it and stuck with my Gamestop order. I called off work to play it after my college classes lmao. Would have liked that Prime discount but I needed the game in my sweaty hands.

Anyone have tips to raising guts? So far, all I remember is having coffee at the diner while studying.

The UI is really stylish but I think it looks too cluttered?? Idk, man, I especially feel the date/time/weather corner could be smaller.

It's not bad right now because what they're doing is good.

But Akechi doesn't know about the Palaces and distorted desires and stuff and if I didn't know I would probably think along the same lines. Sure, who they're going after are bona fide criminals now, but what if they change the heart of someone who isn't actually evil? Or they change the hearts of someone who just gave one of the members of the group a hard time and wasn't evil either. Also there's the usual "cop" way of thinking in that these vigilantes are showing you up and doing your job.

Like it sounds to me like they're setting up the group to screw up (which we already know happens in the beginning) and change someone's heart who isn't evil. Iirc someone said in the beginning that the MC was also arrested for manslaughter so it sounds like someone died during one of the heists.

Also one of the evil dudes mentioning that you were sold out is curious as well. Been trying to figure out who that might be all game.

Also, did anyone else preorder the P5 artbook Prima is publishing later this year? I was hoping Udon would have gotten it just for consistency, and I'm slightly bothered it has a lower page count compared to the Japanese version.

persona are now shadows? And they have screaming voices when you kill them and talk in general?! Sure it's easy to figure out some weaknesses if you've played previous titles but still... I kinda miss shadows

technically, they aren't shadows. I'm guessing they think like shadows, but when the MC talks to them to get their power, they remember that they aren't shadows.
They're personas that forget they're personas. Maybe it's the influence of Mementos and the Palaces, but I don't know.

technically, they aren't shadows. I'm guessing they think like shadows, but when the MC talks to them to get their power, they remember that they aren't shadows.

they kind of are shadows, or rather act as shadows, just need to be reminded of their true, controlled form; the persona.

So in a way, we do fight shadows (strong willed desires, uncontrolled), just indirectly. And imo i kind of like it better. Altho them begging to be spared makes me feel guilty as hell.

I kind of like having something different! I'm enjoying the option to talk to them as well. I like how varied the battle system is getting~

I feel so overwhelmed! I need to increase social links, increase my skills, complete requests and train. It's so much! I want to focus on my skills in this playthrough, but the social links give out helpful skills!
