I didn't know that would count as littering, but it does? I just felt bad for catching a starfish. =[ Has this always been the case? I could have sworn in older games, no one cared if you threw fish into the ocean.

Yeah fish count.... so long as you can pick it up it's not littering, but throwing stuff in the water (regardless of what it is) is littering

I know it makes sense to "catch and release" but not in this game. Fish thrown back has been considered littering for HM games, way back. Live and learn or reload!
The only place to toss in stuff is Dessie's pond but I think she hates fish. Not sure tho.

Things like this are so frustrating that the developer leaves it in. This is revolting. I am a firm believer of games making cumulative improvements with each iteration, not this silly cherry picking that Marvelous likes to do.

I honestly didn't know this had been a thing for a while. Maybe I notice it more now that I can check the hearts more closely. I think Magical Melody was okay with it. Every time you littered in that game, the entire town would boo.

I remember that in HM BTN, there is a way to counter that. You can confess your sin at the church and then they will forgot that hateful thing. So is there a way to make they forget it too in TOT?

Sorry, but, the rumour mill of ToT is so powerful, even if you litter in 2am at night while everyone is sleeping, they'll know instantly because they'll dream about it and lose fp!
...seriously, you lose fp instantly. I don't think there is a way to undo your 'mistake' or 'sin' though. Other than giving everyone gifts, or winning festivals to get their fp back up. And not littering.

The three of them do multiplayer, avatar modification and weather fortune telling / furmiliar selecting, and that's it.
They can't do memory modification.

Caolila did say Carrie is a gossip in her friend event. That could be it. It's so creepy how you start dating someone and the whole region knows overnight.
