That's how I found ushi too. I think everyone found ushi that way tbh.

Yeah, I think when the heart events became such a thing with such specific criteria for triggering them, guides kind of became essential. I found Ushi because I wanted to get married in FoMT and omg it was such an epiphany moment.

I searched all around (that's actually how I found fogu!) to find out there was only one available in the whole game.

I was pretty bummed to the point where I just stopped playing for some years. At least I'll know not to throw away my cursed tools the next time that I play haha.

If it's any consolation, I've never even gotten any cursed/blessed tools in any of my HM games before! So your patience is already greater than mine.

In MFoMT I married every guy in that game (except for maybe Rick....>< first time I saw Rick in HM64 I couldn't tell if he was a boy or a girl...and I didn't like their personality)

ANYWAY since I married everyone and everyone was at red in my file, I figured "what the heck, I'll go for Kappa!"

Did ALL of the requirements that was listed on fogu at the time and finally got Carter/HG's 'blessings' to marry him, went to propose and got shot down. Brushed it off and tried a few more times with him still rejecting me. Asked here on fogu and turns out that (at that time) Cher didn't have it listed that when I confess to the goddess who I like, I have to say that I like him as one of the requirements. At the time i didn't know I even wanted to go for him and the HG asked me during year one in spring (have to be in year 5 before you can propose to Kappa) so I didn't tell her the correct answer. 5 years later in my game it's far to late and I had everything else done except for the confession -_- haven't touched the game since lol. I should really give it a try again someday.

Btw the requirements for Kappa are:
*Collect all 9 of the Kappa Jewels

*Catch every type of fish available in the game.

*Ship at least 1 of every item that can be sold through Zack.

*Expand your house to the largest size and own the Big Bed.

*Discover every type of item hidden in the ground of the Spring Mine and the Lake Mine.

*Ask Carter for permission to marry Kappa during Carter's confessional times.

*Live on your farm for at least 5 years.

*During the "What boy do you like?" event, you must tell her you like Kappa

...only good thing that came out of my blunder was that Cher added the last requirement when I mentioned that he wouldn't let me propose to him ^^'

My mother introduced me to Fogu...have no idea when I first started coming here since I was a fishy for a long time...

Kross that's awful ): that's actually why I can't marry kappa in my current file, I forgot to answer him for the goddess' question. I wish that didn't make such an impact @_@ though kudos to you for going through all that hard work!

Omg Kross that sounds so PAINFUL. ;_; Ughhhh that moment of realisation must have been heart wrenching lol. The requirements for the special candidates are always SO ridiculous.
