Same characters? Kinda expected this? Well, to be fair they did this for TLV.

Characters isn't a big issue but the fact it's a rip off SoM is just ugh

Well, they did talk about going back to their roots with this game. So it isn't surprising they are trying again with a 2D graphical style.

It wouldn't surprise me if Light of Hope is just the long forgotten Wii U and PC versions of SOM.

They could've just port Skytree Village to switch and other devices instead... hopefully the gameplay won't be as bad as SoM..

I've been said that graphics are 3D and there's no more Minecraft mode. In addition, they said controlls were easy and it was fun.

People are not allowed to take pics or videos. I guess Natsume will.

If this is just like SoM, then Expect for less movement. Seriously. In SoM, the people don't even walk around. Still creeps me out. You literally can push them,, I wish I had my sister's laptop so I can record it.

Awwww man. Kind of a fitting game title in a way - here we all were, hoping for the best. But nope.

Harvest Moon: Light of Nope.

I don't actually hate SoM (it's cute) but if you're planning to release a game on consoles, they should be HUGE like Animal Parade. I thought Natsume learned from their mistake but NOPE, they just want to grab our money.

TLV, SoM, StV and now LoH!?

They are all literally have the same characters.

When is Natsume going to realize that we want new characters *sighs*

I didn't get my hopes up but I also expected at least a new cast of characters =_=

Well unless that poster was a tease/fluke/a lie, then I'm skipping past this release.

I don't need a fourth rehash of the same game.
Imo they were all basically the same game with some differences. I don't need another one.

You'd think at this point they'd at least try to create a new art style for the MC's. In all honesty though, it's not fair to give Natsume trash, they're trying really hard with listening to fan requests. And they are very proud of their harvest moon games released. My only complaints is that the same characters are being recycled for what feels like the 5th time in 2 years even if the Mineral town cast was already used in like 8 games. The other problem... is that they're not taking the time to slow down. Although I'm not too well informed with how or why Natsume left Marvelous in the first place, the issue is that they "still want to provide 'Harvest Moon' to the old and new fans". From my understanding, Marvelous made Bokojou/Bokumono games, yes? Besides a couple spin-off games, wasn't Natsume just a translator for the Japanese Bokojou/Bokumono games? If so, they technically never really "made" the Harvest Moon games, just translated the text and files (more or less), then stuck an English name on the game for us in NA. I don't want to make excuses and maybe I have it all wrong... but in the long run, fans care more about the gameplay, not about the title of a game. While "Harvest Moon" has always been nonstalgic to me, it was technically Marvelous' doing of the gameplay and memorable characters. That being said, I think I'll stick with Story of Seasons for the time being. (Sorry if I came off as passive-aggressive, and for a long essay; I just can't tell if I like Natsume's work with new HM or not. )

On the bright side, the characters do look very happy! It's the perfect game for all ages! Can't wait for the video trailer and voiceover.
/slapped //cringe ///I might be too salty right now
But seriously, I still might give it a shot though. It's a farming game after all, how bad can it possibly be? (...Did I speak too soon...)
