Anna, have you played SoM? You weren't being rude btw, just curious.

All I'm interested in is getting some info and screenshot+videos. It may not look like how I'd hoped it would, but it's still Harvest Moon on the Switch and that's honestly good enough for me right now. Granted I'll probably have Stardew Valley long before this ever comes out, but the more farming games on there the better.

Here's a somewhat better picture of the logo and characters

Seeds of Memories? No, I've never played it, but I did watch a couple small playthroughs and gameplay on YouTube. I'd definitely give it a shot if my phone had any extra memory, since those simple mechanics are right up my alley.
(and thank goodness I didn't sound too rude)

Was hoping that original post wasn't legit but it looks like they're rehashing the same old games except with a beach setting this time. Wasn't too interested in Natsume's new HM series anyway but guess it's another title I'm skipping. Can't say I'm surprised, but it's a bit disappointing.

I don't mean to start « Cow Poopoo » but is Natsume seriously framing the Marvelous games as some sort of precursors to their games? Seems like there should be some legal red tape around something like that.

Technically right or wrong all they're doing is listing Harvest Moon games, which is true.

Somehow I have yet to see Marvelous even try to re-release any old HM games only Natsume which is weirder IMHO.

Also they expressed a disinterest in recycling marriage candiates when everyone wanted Tabitha/Gareth in something BESIDES a mobile game so I'm calling BS on that now. They just clearly didn't want to make them candidates!

As far as the graphics, it's a bit weird they're going for this since it just makes people think of a $5-$10 mobile game now and NOT a Switch-level game. Regardless of how nice someone might think they look, that's definitely a problem to entice people. People were already calling the HM graphics butt ugly, making a system game look like a mobile game is just asking to fail or at the very least get extra venom. I don't think as many people will be keen to get this before info comes out. Even I'm not rushing without info and I was all in on STV!

I was just not excited enough to not be crushed, but then again it's kinda hard to get me too excited anymore or to let me down very hard so I guess I'm lucky that way.

Oh gosh, I completely forgot that this game is also coming out on home consoles. Please tell me that it's not going to cost $59.99 or more...

Actually that reminds me I have the same concern as I had for SoM, cost differences and gameplay differences. SoM was at most $10 and I already expressed a disbelief that they could make it worth a WiiU game price tag. While steam games can run a full system game price I am skeptical of there being enough content to warrant switch price. Unless they make them slightly cheaper like TLV.

Honestly personally I'm not big on paying $60 for a steam game, and without proof with the look being like a mobile game it surely makes me feel like there's not going to be enough content for a switch game. Small and quaint are nice but not for the kind of price that comes with next gen consoles, and definitely not with BotW at the forefront of what the switch is truly capable of. I mean I sure don't expect BotW level expansive by a long shot but if it's STV small on the switch seeing the capacity of Switch it'll do Natsume no favors.

Yikes. @ cast rehashing

On the brighter side the art does look better, anatomically.

I saw it as low as $5 but I also saw it for $10. Never saw it for $7 that's weird.

As little information as we have I'm more nervous than anything.

Honestly I'm not seeing a difference between it and STV. The top looks to be just art for it, though it's hard to see the actual gameplay panels too vs the advertisement art bit.

Hey, it has Doc in it, so that's positive :) He seems to be missing from the group of what I'm assuming are the marriage candidates. Edward and Nova are new as base-game characters, since they were simply DLC in Skytree Village.

I too was hoping for something a bit new, but it is hard to tell graphics by just looking at a blurry image of a printed poster.

To everyone who's complaining about Natsume reusing the same characters from Skytree Village, I'd just like to point out that Marvelous is also guilty of this-

Harvest Moon Animal Parade reused the entire cast from Tree of Tranquility (both for the same system).

Sunshine Islands reused the same characters from Island of Happiness (again, both for the same system).

Friends of Mineral Town, a remake of Back To Nature rehashed the characters from HM64.

HMDS rehashed the characters from A Wonderful Life.

So, if you want to bash Natsume out of brand loyalty to Story of Seasons, it might be better if you don't do it based on somthing that Marvelous has done plenty of times. You look like less of a hypocrite that way. :)

Literally not doing that.
Just addressing what's relevant.

I'm the first one to defend Natsume games and often have said how much I couldn't play SoS. They STILL said they weren't wanting to repeat marriage candidates and that was why no Gareth and Tabitha in STV. That was their own logic.

I'm not mildly complaining and expressing what it looks like out of some 'loyalty to SoS', I'm doing it because they look like they lied because of it. By their own words and the idea of recycled candidates it doesn't add up.

I bought more copies of STV and the DLC than Trio and not getting the DLC for Trio at this point. Don't assume my brand loyalty.

If I look like a hypocrite for addressing things in a series I enjoy and actually care about IDK what to say. I feel like blindly praising everything indicates a lack of faith and enjoyment, it comes across as someone trying to convince themselves as well as others they love it the most and are the #1 fan.

Trust me, I don't have the energy to complain about games I'm not interested and/or invested in in some way. I enjoy things while acknowledging they have flaws. Nothing is perfect, and if no one says anything that's how things stagnate. The fact is most of the improvements between TLV and STV are from feedback! And then some patches because people saw an issue and expressed it.
