I remember reading when I first got this game at release that if you sell 10 of a crop that it'll be for sale at the respective town store. Is this correct? Do you have to ship it to the town you got the seeds from?
I honestly don't pay attention to my shipped items but from what I've seen, yes, the shop will sell most crops, no(?), you don't have to ship them to the correct town.
Actually, nothing will happen if you ship 10 crops. Unlocking new crops for the towns to sell typically happens upon unlocking a town rank or shipping a certain number (usually in the hundreds) of crops to the town where it unlocks. Not all crops are unlockable either; adzuki beans and coconuts come to mind.
