Did Ludus threaten someone?

So one day Yuzuki mentioned to me that the people who supply him with his gems have encountered a problem, their child fell ill and they have to raise the price of the gems. Yuzuki says it's fine and agrees to pay the higher price. After that, the family seems to continue running into problems and they keep raising the price of their gems. Yuzuki, being the kind soul that he is, continues agreeing to pay the higher price because he's worried about them.
Then one day he mentions that he told Ludus about what's happening, and apparently Ludus' face immediately turns serious as he tells Yuzuki to not worry about anything. It's never stated directly, but by this point it's pretty much implied that these people are scamming Yuzuki by taking advantage of his kindness.
The following day Yuzuki says his shipment arrived safe and sound, and the family was so grateful for his cooperation on paying the higher prices that they're gonna give him a discount. And not only that, they then very happily said that he will also get a discount on all of his future purchases.
Idk if it's just me, but I get the impression that Ludus did some intervening, and considering the fact that they gave Yuzuki a LIFETIME DISCOUNT, it seems like Ludus did a little more than just call their bluff.

So what do you think? What could Ludus have done?
I can't imagine him getting physical with anyone (although he definitely could if he had no other choice), but I guess he could be pretty intimidating if he wanted to.
If anything, this adds something interesting to his character!

It could be that Ludus told Tototara, and she might have used her priestess powers to solve Yuzuki's problems.

Maybe Ludus has connections to Witchie, and gave her an offering to scare the people who were scamming Yuzuki? Either way, it is really interesting! Makes Ludus seem very mysterious!

Well, I have seen many of the Lulucoco NPCs praying to that big stone throne at the temple ruins. Ludus and Tototara were among them.

I figured Ludus had something to do with it. Given that he knew exactly who Yuzuki was talking about, it seemed like he (or someone he knew) had some "history" with the merchant in question. I just imagined he sicced Iluka on the sorry sap.

Too bad Ludus doesn't say anything about it around the same time Yuzuki does. That would've been a nice touch on the developer's part, so the story isn't so one-sided, y'know? Instead of talking about how white the sand is on the beach all the time, or how he thought all women were like Iluka before he met me. XP

I think it was a stare down. Ludus looks pretty intimating. Imagine what he would be like if he got really angry.

Oh I think most definitely Ludus had some sort of talk with the fella. Whether or not it reached the point of threats, we don't really know

That whole conversation I was very much "Yuzuki. Yuzuki, sweetheart. You're being SUCKERED, Yuzuki." Hearing that Ludus handled it made me grin. I imagine it was Iluka being herself while Ludus just kind of Loomed behind her. X3c

I love knowing about the friendships that exist between the towns. So cute.

We'll never know how far it escalated unfortunately since Yuzuki probably took at face value that Ludus and the man just had a nice "chitchat." Leaves it to our imagination how that chitchat went down.

If I had to guess, I wouldn't be surprised if Ludus gave him a really harsh warning but I doubt there was anything physical.

I think he did but I also can't see him actually threatening the guy with real harm. Totally could see him being stern and threatening to stop trade between that guy and Lulukoko if he doesn't stop though. Poor Yuzuki is so trusting.

I think Ludus wouldn't get physical, but I can see him handle things like a big brother would since he seems to treat his friends like family.
