House Edit Help

Ive come back to this game after a break and i cant seem to figure this out, either from in game help, or from google. I built a new table and tool box and am trying to replace them inside the house from the starting ones. Only help I could find said you needed to enter the "house editing" mode first before you could swap them, but I cant figure out how to enter that...only the editor for the outside which dosnt help. So if anyone could point me in the right direction, thanks.

Trio of towns doesn't have any house editing, you just change the entire layout. you may be thinking of the original story of seasons.

Why would it let me build new looking storage boxes if I cant change them out? Im pretty sure I changed the default

It has far less customizing at least.

The new toolbox sadly has to be sat OUTSIDE. Yep.

Personally not a huge fan, I never really did that in the first SoS despite advice to do so to have a lot of storage since you have more room outside. Not gonna do it now with the new grid system.

I am not a big fan of the lack of customizing in this game and the grid system on the farm tbh but it is what it is.
