Finally! I still don't know if I want it but at least now I know I'll have the option anyway.

Yeah, in a way I feel like I've already played it after reading so many of the scenes hahaha

Yes, I like to spoil myself, hehe. Not sure if I'm able to get it though :/

Yeah it's sad we always get games late and then they're over priced :(

Was my thread merged with others? I'm pretty sure I made my own, and the thread title is the one I used, but it just looks like I posted on this thread. « What The Eggplant ».

This is an extremely rough estimation, but maaaaaaybe around £30? Here in NA, the game costed $39.99, not counting sales tax. Since 1 US dollar is about .77 of a pound, I would assume it would be around £30, £40 being the very most. If the DLC comes across seas as well, then I don't know how much that would cost.
Ahh I hope it's £30! But it'll probably end up being £35 or something
Yeah, it'll probably be as much as all 3DS games are, rather than the equivalent of the US price. Going by the fact that Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are up on Amazon UK for preorders for £35, that sounds about right.

@my fellow australians, you should definitely check ozgameshop come october!! the first story of seasons is still $59.95 at EB Games, but is only $45.99 at ogs. they regularly have sales as well and are really good with delivery (i got persona 4 golden from them when i couldn't find it anywhere)

it's still ridiculous how inflated the price is, regardless

Always wondered why EU always gets a much later release date... other than American/British spelling differences, is it any different from the US version? Or is the game translated into various other European languages as well (French, German etc)?

Not sure what the exact reasons are (if you google it, it's mostly a bunch of people getting mad about it, but no one actually explaining why exactly), but yeah, it is translated into other languages, and I imagine there are a few different things.

One of the reasons is almost definitely the rating system. While NA has ESRB, Europe has PEGI, meaning a different company has to review the game, and possibly start from the beginning when doing so, since I have no idea if they have different criteria for how they rate their games.

Then there's localization tweaks. Besides translating games into different languages, usually small differences have to be made, and sometimes content is replaced or even removed entirely. For the small differences, I know there are some food items that have different names depending on if you're playing NA English or EU English, Klaus' purple (?) heart event in SoS is an example of content being changed, and while it's not HM/SoS, if you're familiar with Fire Emblem, then you might've heard that the petting game in Fates was removed when the game left Japan.

And of course, you have to find someone who is willing to do all of this, which is probably especially tedious with games that aren't that popular. They have to come up with the resources to translate the game into multiple languages, have the game reviewed and rated, and then probably go through a bunch of other legal stuff to localize the game.
