I'm sorry, I'm so pleased with all the improvements in this game that i must gush about it!
The extra events with the marriage candidates plus the events for the villagers were a fantastic idea! I'm really happy we get so much dialogue for the characters, and also some that change everyday. A suggestion would be that the next sos game could add casual dialogue that would take place between two characters that you could listen to when they hang out. Anyone else have anymore suggestions they wish to contribute? ^^

I would love:
1. Lesbian/Gay marriage
2. Bring back swimming
3. Slow down the clock a bit
4. Have dialogues cycle through as you talk to somone, instead of just randomly spitting out lines. I hate having to hear about the dish at the restaurant like 80 times to see what they have to say about the new renovation
5. Make all farm circles do something, or at least let us decorate the town. Right now all those cool things I can build are just wastes of materials and space
6. Let me make clothes and farm circles again. I hate running up to Ludus and realizing I need 5 more lumber but he's about to close so I'm screwed. This and #5 are why in this game I've done little decorating, but in the last 2 games I went all out and had cool decorations and stuff everywhere

This!!!!!!! I want to mine again.anissina wrote:Bring back actual mining instead of just smashing A at nodes.
@astro-demon, I'd like a number 3 and a 5 please. Can't stand having a decoration that's just for looking at.
7. Color swaps for outfits. Goes along with number 6 with an adjustment. The color of the cloth determines the color of the outfit. So the recipe could read that it needs x amount of wool, x amount of etc without stating a color. There have been times that I like a style, but not the color.
Gonna put all this in a spoiler because I know I'm going to write too much, but this is my random list of ideas I want to see in the future, or just improved upon:
Well that took awhile. Half of that didn't even contribute to farming, but rather character interaction. I really am selfish with these games
. On the bright side, I feel like 3oT did an amazing job with the farming aspect in general, so there's really nothing more I wanted to add in that regard, since I don't like complicated farming games that have 300+ things to do at once. It sucks when you're stuck doing stuff on your farm, and by the time you finish, it's 20:00 in the evening. So much for going shopping in town, am I right?
But holy « Puppy Doodoo », that is a lot of save files. And memory storage.
Spoiler:
So you can marry eveeeeeryone, duh!Tiptoze wrote:I'd like more files. At least 3.
/But not 15 like RFToD had bc who's ever gonna need 15 files.

Even though 3oT dethroned AP as my favorite Bokumono, I feel like there's definitely room for improvements for future iterations.
I'd love if they did what AP did and tack on an extra 10 hearts after marriage. Might not be too much dialogue in the grand scheme of things, but would give incentive to keep gifting and talking to you spouse after marriage. To add onto that, I'd love more events with your spouse and kid, but that's probably pretty pricey to implement, especially considering how many events they've already added as additional flower events this time around.
Kids that do farm work for you. Pretty sure many people have been asking for this to return forever lol
Kind of ties in with the last point, but I feel like animal care is still pretty tedious, especially with how many animals you need for clothing still. Having someone later in the game to hire to do your animal care work, or having your kid do it, bringing back sprites, whatever. Having animals being herded out by pets is nice, but after a certain point later on in the game some automation would be very welcome.
Barns/Coops need to be able to hold more animals imo.
With all of the cool decorations in the game, I feel like I needed way more farm land in general, because all of it was used up pretty easily.
Like others already said, old school mines would be amazing. Yes please.
Just my 2 cents in any case. Very much looking forward to the next game to see what they add. Hopefully it's not two steps forward and one step back like some of the previous titles in any case, lol
Edit: Forgot another one. The 5x5 upgrade for the watering can is way too finicky imo. I always have to water in the perfect spot to be able to hit everything the first time.

Yeah I know, I meant it sucks that I never have time to run and get more lumber from materials store. I don't like that if I want to make something and I'm missing a few materials I have to wait till the next day because it's too late. I miss being able to craft as much as I wanted at the end of the day. It takes so long for me to do my farm chores that I often miss being able to shop in Tsuyukusa village and LulukokoShan O 123 wrote:^

I would love this feature! Maybe some new dialogue lines added for every additional year of marriage, up to 5, maybe? Wouldn't have to be whole events, but if the spouse commented on how the marriage was going over time, that would be cool.RopeMaidenKirie wrote: I'd love if they did what AP did and tack on an extra 10 hearts after marriage. Pretty sure I read the DLC has additional dialogue based on years married. So it's already a feature, just not in game yet.Terra575 wrote:I would love this feature! Ooh awesome! Looks like I won't have to wait long for that then, haha :'DLenna36 wrote:Pretty sure I read the DLC has additional dialogue based on years married. I would also like to see one or two candidates for each gender you can pursue for same gender marriage. It would be unrealistic if they were all bisexual (Though I admit this is one of the reasons why I am looking forward to Stardew Valley being released on the Switch this fall.....I am gonna play as a male farmer and go after Shane.) And maybe the Harvest Goddess could bless you with a child or you could adopt one.
Everyone in town is perfect. Someone mentioned they have been getting ideas through RF4 (great game). I have never played Stardew Valley but am looking forward to it because some of the marriage candidates have serious flaws, like Shane (alcoholic and depressive). I know SoS is supposed to be a happy go lucky game, but maybe adding in some real world problems may make the whole thing more realistic? I get bored with husbands fast in these games. There needs to at least be more variety of dialogue. I liked how in HM: Animal Parade, you got more hearts to fill up on your spouse so you got more dialogue.
I also agree that like RF4, some voice acting would be cool. Maybe they could have a tone of voice you could pick for your own character based on gender at the beginning of the game?
One more thing. I know this is gonna sound lazy. I really wish it could go back the how it was in Animal Parade with clothes instead of making them. You could have the option to make the, or if you are lazy like me, you could just pay an insane amount for the outfit. I LOVE character customization and I only have two outfits and the ones I want, I cannot get the needed stuff for it. At least, not for a lot more gameplay time. I want some cute outfits, dangit!
I also kinda miss the refridgerator for food. I kinda liked food and non-food items separated for organizational purposes.

I don't know if anybody's already made a similar suggestion, but I don't feel like going thru and looking at everything (lazy of me, I know.

Anyway, if they're going to force Farm Circle combos on us, shouldn't there be one to lessen/eliminate damage done to our crops in stormy weather? I think that'd be nice.

I really want more replay value for the next game. Possibly more endgame clothing, farm circles, home upgrades or even, as someone said, higher FP limit to encourage talking to the villagers everyday even past year 5+. Or even something like the Tropical Country grind in SoS, which actually felt really rewarding after so much work.
I don't really like how money becomes irrelevant after such a short time. I'm at around 40 million G in year 4 purely from selling animal products, and you probably don't even need more than 5 million to get everything worth collecting. If they could add (and this is a long shot, but just an example) the "amusement rides" from SoS for 10 mil G which actually function as rides which you can enjoy with the family, it'd give me a lot more reason to continue playing! Even larger house upgrades which extend to a penthouse would be really great, and fits the theme of getting repaid handsomely for doing years of tough farm work.
Something else I really want is having family outings as and when I want. Honestly I find it downright annoying when my child says stuff like "hey, can we go to the teahouse for a snack" and I can't actually do it and bring her there in the game.
FP-wise, I feel that the spouse (and child) should have higher friendship "tiers". It doesn't make sense to me that there's no incentive to gift or talk to my spouse at all after marriage. Perhaps replace their red hearts with pink hearts or something, and instead of having 10,000FP they have 100,000FP each; then we could have varying FP dialogue based on the pink heart level. And hey, we could even get the holiday travel event at higher FP levels!
