Can two events happen on the same day? Specifically:
-festival and your birthday (do you still get a party?)
-your birthday and wedding anniversary
-kids birthday and festival

No at all of the scenarios. You only get one event a day. Idk which ones take over the others in terms of importance and which ones play out though

I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can have your birthday (at least, the spouse/lover celebrations) and a festival on the same day.

I think all the celebrations get cancelled if there's a typhoon or blizzard on your b-day, but other than that, they might possibly stack?

Ah yeah possibly. I was thinking about the birthday party thing in Westown my bad. Idk for sure about the spouse birthday events and how they work with other festivals.

It's a preference thing.
My MC had a birthday on the same day as a festival. You can choose one over the other but you CANT see both.
Like I chose to have my birthday party celibates but I missed out on the festival.

I'm assuming that it'd be the same with other scenarios.

I had been wondering about this myself. Now that I know, I'll make sure I don't have a birthday or wedding anniversary the same day as a festival in any future files. (The child too if I don't forget.) Although I generally try to avoid doing that in all the games I play because it gets under my skin if my birthday/anniversary conflicts with a festival for some reason.

Look Here
It say you B-day can happen on a festival day without skipping the festival just talk to them before or after the festival.

Yeah you still get presents but to have the village celibate it, I believe you have to choose.
The festival for me started and ended during the time I could get the village celebration. Still got everyone's gifts and attended the party instead of going to the festival.

Could be different for other festivals though

for the longest time i thought you couldnt see the birthday town celebration if you attend the festival, so i never tried since my birthday is on a festival day. then one year on my birthday after i went to the festival, i just happened to run into the tea house in tsuyukusa and triggered the birthday party. i was really surprised since i wasnt expecting it to happen, and now i regret all my missed parties. for reference, my birthday is summer 20, so it falls on trilympics. so you can in fact have a party and attend a festival on the same day

Doesn't the birthday party go from 13:00-17:00 every year? Iirc, most competition festivals only go untill 15:00 or 16:00, and they drop you off directly in front of your house. If that's the case, sharing a birthday with a festival isn't the end of the world; you can just sprint directly to the town party right after the festival ends.

Really? Then I've been told wrong.
I always read that you can't do both on the same day :/
I'll have to try it sometime.
Sorry for the wrong information then.

I've had my birthday celebration on a festival day. It was the winter triolympics. I did the festival, the celebration with the town for my birthday and I think I even the party with spouse. Can't remember if it was all three but definitely the first two.

My birthday is summer 22 + cooking festival + was dating Wayne at that point = a very happy birthday to me. Lol.
3 events is possible!

I think you only can't get two friend/love events in one day...so you couldn't trigger Caolila's friend event and still see Ludus' blue flower event on the same day, and I don't think you can trigger a friend/love event on any festival day, ever. But I've gotten two events of different types on a LOT of days. The recurring events that are involved with the Ruins Research stuff with Mithra will trigger on ANY day, it seems, even on a festival morning, iirc.

I've also triggered town rank link events (where they build or repair things or do collaborations, etc) on festival mornings, which I remember keenly as it nearly made me be too late to finish my farm chores and still get to the festival.

My MC bday does not occur on a day with anything else (I was careful to choose an 'empty' day in advance to avoid any hassles) so I haven't done any testing of how it will trigger in conjunction with anything else.
