Running Buff or Horse?
I'm not sure, but i like to use buffs rather than the horse. I heard somewhere (i don't remember where, so someone please correct me if i am wrong.) that riding your horse around will cause you to not trigger events when entering an area. So, i'd rather use buffs anyways because of that. Plus, the horse tends to walk off and you have to hunt it down. That can be a bit annoying at times.

Yup. You're correct. You can't trigger events while on a horse.Tabby935 wrote:I'm not sure, but i like to use buffs rather than the horse. I haven't even bothered to get a horse?? Sorry, potential horse.
At least in the last game, there was some utility in having one with the teleporting mechanic, but in Trio, between the run buff and the wagon/palanquin/elephant service, it doesn't really seem like it's worth it to pick one up. Other than having something else to feed and brush, I guess?

I just prefer to have a horse in the area for it beside my house, rather than having that space empty. It looks silly being unused (IMO).MageDragonfire wrote:I haven't even bothered to get a horse?? Sorry, potential horse.

Just answering the original question. I agree the buff is more practical but if we're just talking speed, the horse wins.Shan O 123 wrote:Yeah but that means that you have to pray that it wouldn't wonder off while you're indoors.Anonymous Fish wrote:Imo, I feel like the horse is faster than running.

I love using the horse, i think the speed buff is a teeny bit slower. Tbh i love that i can avoid activating events by using the horse, as most days im rushing to shops before they close and cant afford to lose an hour just so someone can force me to help them cook fish lol. Also i love the beautiful horse i got so its more fun for me to use it. I wish we could whistle and call the horse tho. It does suck when it goes missing
