I would say so. i've been playing off and on since it's release and there's still things I haven't done. I like the NG+ option since I like to do a playthrough as both genders. It's even got some DLC coming out to add more to do. i find it very difficult to play backwards in the series (to go back chronologically in release date), because i usually find they make improvements each game. They may be subtle, but I really noticed them once they're gone. My first hm was HM64. I took a break and started up with the DS versions, and like the 3DS games most so far.

Definitely worth it. I thought SoS improved upon ANB and I now think that 3oT has improved upon SoS. I wasn't too interested in any of the bachelors before I played, but once I started I found that I liked more than one and this was probably one of my toughest decisions about who to marry in HM history.
I've played every game (handheld and console) since AWL/AnWL. I still very much enjoy the series.

I love this game so much i bought two copy's , one digital and one physical.
But it really depends on you, I suggest watching a short little gameplay if you want.
That's what I did and I knew I would love it and I do.

I love this game a thousand times more than SoS. So yeah....I personally think it's worth a purchase.

I enjoy these characters a bit more. And it's so much quicker at saving than the first sos

No grinding + the best gameplay between all 3 3DS Bokujou Monogatari games = Pretty darn good! I do prefer SoS's characters a bit more than 3oT, but this is a pretty good cast of characters. I highly recommend it.

Imo it's one of the best (if not THE best) handheld games in the series so far. It improved on many of ANB/SOS's gameplay features and is far less grindy than either of then. The characters feel more rounded and fleshed out than before. I actually enjoyed working on the goals set for me this time around because they felt more rewarding because of how much nicer the towns looked and the characters' reactions to the results.
Would definitely recommend it if you liked the other two 3DS games.

What I love about this game is that it feels nice to play like some of the older games for the sake of playing, while still having clear goals and such.
The only downside is it can be overwhelming at times, features are a double edged sword like that.

I also think the 3oT characters are much better than the SoS characters. I found the SoS characters to significantly lack in any outstanding personality traits, whereas the 3oT characters are much more fleshed out and have more intriguing stories.

I would definitely recommend buying this game. I had very few gripes with it and has a ton of dialogue, which is really important to me since I find the villagers and marriage candidates the better part of the game. I agree that it's probably the best handheld game that they've made in a while, if not ever.

Thank you guys for the opinions!
Now can I hear some little negative feedback? What didn't you like about this game?

I don't like how they put the bunnies in the barns. I liked how the first one put the bunnies with the chickens since you could have more room in the other barn for sheep and alpacas.
I'm pretty sure placing a bunny and a cow in the same barn in real life could be deadly for the little critter.

oh « Cow Poopoo » I forgot they did this. yeah It really bothered me too. uhhh some of the heart events are kind of iffy on what's the 'right' or 'wrong' choice, but I felt like SoS was worse with this than this installment. Also wasn't a huge fan of how slow it takes to up your pets' heart/affection levels

I think farm customization is the least fun in Trio of any of the (recent) bokumono games. I liked being able to build everything myself, for one, rather than go to Ludus for every little thing (not just making the fields of soil but even attaching bait!) But the area where you can place things is only in the centre where you'd put field crops and it looks weird to me to place anything decorative.
I also miss being able to customize the house in individual pieces. Choosing an entire style to change...the styles aren't bad but I liked having customization more in my own hands.
I've also run out of things to do sooner in Trio than in the two previous games, so I feel that later-game playing goals are weak in Trio. Or maybe it's just too easy to get all the main goals done. I always seem to be finished everything by end end of Year 2 and aiming for achievements that have no effect on anything in the game really isn't of interest to me. (It'd be a different story if achievements rewarded you with an event, new dialogue from villagers, landscape upgrades, statues, or SOMETHING...but just seeing an achievement flash as a text alert on your screen for two seconds isn't something I can make goal out of.)
EDIT: Trio is really strong on the social aspects but I found it more tedious for farming. I hate the four different fertilizers and the bazillion types of treat you have to feed animals to increase all their stats. I've heard people say they like that the Trio treats system is LESS complicated than SoS', but that leaves me baffled as I find it way MORE complicated in Trio. So I guess you could say that overall I enjoy the characters and socializing more in Trio, but I enjoy the actual farming less.
EDIT 2: Fishing is way more enjoyable in Trio when it come to how it works...one press of the button and the fish is caught, no hand-cramping flurry of A-button mashing for thirty seconds just to land a big one. But I still miss ANB when it comes to how desirable fishing is, because being able to fish up lost recipes and blueprint fragments was a major incentive to me that made me actually WANT to do it.
