I've seen the release date for Europe but what about Australia I haven't seen it in the EB games catalog.

While I can't offer any information on when Australian stores will stock the game, Europe and Australia are in the same region as far as region-lock goes (they're all PAL...the EU, New Zealand and Australia), so the games released on October 13th will be the ones playable on Australian 3DSes.

Either way I hope it shows up soon, I don't feel like having a game shipped halfway across the world after it's been released and at extra cost. I mean really $59.95 in Australian dollars is not a fun price to pay especially if more than one game comes out in the same time frame.

Yeah, games keep getting more expensive. CAD and AUD are almost identical right now, but Trio only costs $50, here. (Only, ha. I remember just two or so years ago, almost all new games seemed to come out at about $40 and now everything is ten dollars more.) AU always seems to get the games last, too, sometimes even a few weeks after Europe, for some reason. Perhaps it takes longer to get them in stock since they're manufactured in Europe. That's not something I actually know, though. (...but to put it in a different light, we do all have to wait only the same amount of time between games. Japan seems to get a new Bokumono game every two years, and the same is true of North America, Europe, Australia...everywhere, afaik. Actually, North America had to wait a whole two years to get a new game after the first SoS while Australia will only have had to wait one year and nine or ten months between games.) Still, knowing the game already exists and that you can't access it yet might add to frustration and make it seem much longer.
I don't know why the price difference, but the UK version seems to be just as expensive, costing about 55-60 in CAD. (That's the price on Amazon.eu since I don't know any other places.) Maybe because of the extra languages? But I'm just guessing. I don't know the politics or technicalities of any of this stuff.
More importantly, then: how about OZ games? That's an Australian place, right? The currency listed there by default is AUD so I assumed it was.

There should also be the digital option, if that's acceptable. Well, however it goes, I hope you get your game in good time at a fair price, Anon.

Thanks

I only ever buy the physical release of games though(except RF4)
OZ games is definitely an Australian shop.
Does anyone know why games cost more here? I don't remember.

Best I can do is guess. And my guess is that since the PAL version contains four (or more? English, French, German...Spanish? I don't actually know which languages it comes out in for the PAL release) languages, it takes a lot more work hours to complete it. It's also possible that they license the English translation from XSEED for their own release, and if they do, that would cost money as well. Basically I think it costs them more to localize the game and that reflects in the price. (Unless it's not TRUE that the EU version has three or four languages on it. But I assumed it was true.)
A complete guess, though. Not an educated guess or anything. Just a guess. In case I was being ambiguous.

For the PAL region games I have never seen anything but english when choosing the language.

Really? Because that's confusing! I checked the first SoS out and buyers on amazon.co.uk who are answering questions specifically say that the EU version can be played in English, French, Spanish, German or Italian. (

I'd actually love to buy a PAL version so I could play in French, but of course, I have NA 3DSes.

Games use the language of the 3ds, it's very rare that you get to choose anymore.
And for the languages they come with, it varies. Grand bazaar and before (except Rune Factory) was english, french, german, italian and spanish. ToTT removed spanish and pretty sure italian. ANB was english only and SoS went back to all 5.

Oh, I had no idea it worked like that. That's really unfortunate...I'd want to be able to choose to play in a different language when several are offered on the game itself. Well, according to the above, then, the first SoS has 5 language possibilities, and that would take a lot more time and payroll to do, and could be the reason for why the PAL version costs so much more in comparison. That's my way of thinking, anyway. I guess the only people who could answer definitively would be Nintendo of Europe. (?)
Now I'm gonna try to change my 3DS language out of curiosity, I forgot that was even in the settings...thanks *LaI*
