Oh so that's why the characters looked so smooth, they're actually 3D models.

Thanks for sharing, it's nice to finally have an official first look.

I was kind of over this game the moment they decided to bring back the same characters for a third time. I know old school HM did that but this is a new century people.

Anyway I'll wait for more gameplay before I officially make up my mind but it's not looking good right now :?

Same to be honest. I pretty much have my eyes for Story of Seasons games for now.

I'm not going to buy it tbh. Still not a fan of the visuals. It looks too much like a free-to-play mobile game rather than a real game.

Does Natsume know they are competing against Stardew Valley and Story of Seasons? Cause this looks really bad and cheap. You would think they would step up their game when it comes to making a PC/Console title.

I, for one, am glad they're keeping the graphics and gameplay simple... Because I plan to play this on a windows tablet.

It doesn't exactly have the power, storage capacity or inputs needed for a realistic 4K HD AAA release. (Oh but don't get me wrong, it's a great tablet and I love it).

I can play Stardew Valley, but it has this weird control scheme that requires both a keyboard and a mouse, I need to use an awkward mini keyboard to play it... I really wish they could implement a touch/mouse-only option for tablets...

The graphics are still a great improvement from their previous games though (except the characters, which are the exact same models). Not sure what's so terrible about them tbh.

Considering, I'm assuming, the game can be played on the Vita via stream-like play (can't remember the application now) and the Switch somewhat has a touch screen, I don't see why they can't do that.

On my own thoughts, I'm also not going to get it. I'm going to keep wishing Natsume the best that they can do with their farming simulator and maybe give them hope they can bring me in. Maybe their next game will introduce new villagers and not just new candidates.

Maybe for the Switch they could implement touch controls, but I somehow doubt they will use them beyond menus and stuff. The PSVita should certainly be able to stream it from a PS4, but I don't think the touch screen is used in any substantial way.

It's just so weird because the game would work soooo well with touch controls, it's like a perfect match. Oh well, one can dream.

Anyway, Harvest Moon :shifty:
