It's sad how true this is, lol. If they take away the greet on the fly mechanic I'm going to riot :pGetaris wrote:Oh this is is Bokumono we are talking about, they will take two steps forward and one backwards, guaranteed![]()

To tie back into the original topic, I was thinking about it and I think I miss the simplicity of animal care the most from the classic games. If there was a way to eventually streamline animal care late game in the newer games it wouldn't be an issue, but at the point I'm at in 3oT I think I spend more time on them than I do on anything else on my farm lol.
@Bluie - A shake up in art would be welcome. Wonder if they'll keep portraits.
i kind of hope they get rid of portraits, or bring back the option to turn them off. portraits were nice in the older games since 2d sprites aren't usually particularly expressive, but i can see the characters faces now, and i liked the little animations they had in mm, tot, and ap
on the subject of music, one of my biggest complaints with the new games (even though I did defend them, I still have a few) is that they keep recycling tracks. i enjoy the festival theme from ioh and the bluebell theme from tott (as least, i think that's what that one is. it's what it reminds me of, in any case) as much as anyone else, but i'm getting really sick of hearing them in every single game

I certainly would not object to an option to turn portraits off, since I like as many options as possible even if I'd never use them, but I'd be miserable if they got RID of them. The portraits are the main character draw, for me...I don't know if I could get interested if they were gone. To me the sprites just look like little blobs.
Trio really raised the bar on events, imo. The festivals were more interesting and there was just so much more dialogue and more events and it's hard to go backward from that. I also liked that friendship did not degrade from neglect, removing the need to run around talking to every character every day or etc. I also hope they bring back the recipe book memory from SoS...where it automatically opens back up at the last recipe you were on. That they took it out in Trio was frustrating for me when working on getting up to 10,000 dishes cooked.
I already know that they'll leave out some things I loved in Trio, though...they always leave out some of the good stuff. It's kind of like they pick features out of a hat or something when deciding on what to include in the most recent game. I wonder if they'll keep the one-click fishing. It could really be quite different now that we're moving to a new console. That's exciting and worrying, lol.

You're not the only one lol, I feel like the portraits complete things. And they're pretty to look at. Especially the candidates.Kikki wrote:I certainly would not object to an option to turn portraits off, since I like as many options as possible even if I'd never use them, but I'd be miserable if they got RID of them.
