Harvest Moon: My Little Shop - going down with the wii shop
As some of you may know already, the Wii Shop Channel is scheduled to close down early next year. Yeah, it's sad and stuff, but this does affect this one specific Harvest Moon game, since it was only ever available in the wii shop channel.
Did anyone play it? How is it?
I may download it just for posterity.

Huh! Never played it because I hate 'real time' games (looking at you Animal Crossing... >.>). Being an adult with a fulltime job makes it hard to do that stuff. It looked cute though!
So we just won't be able to buy thing for the regular wii anymore? All purchases made and downloaded will be fine though?

The wii shop channel, in both the Wii and WiiU in Wii mode will close down permanetly.
First in 2018, you won't be able to add more funds, and then in 2019 it will become completely inaccessible. That includes no more redownloading your past games, and you won't be able to trasnfer your purchases to a WiiU anymore.

Guess I should go ahead and transfer my Wii VC games onto the Wii U. Just in case my Wii dies. Then all I will lose is the ability to play Gamecube games. >.>

The whole "transfer" thing only moves the contents of your Wii to the Wii mode of your WiiU. So really, you don't need to do a transfer, you are already there.
If you have virtual console games on Wii mode, and they're also available of the WiiU's eShop, then you get a discount for them. So in other words, you need to pay again.
