Video Game Soundtracks - What's your favourite?

A couple of soundtracks that slipped my mind before:
Ys I & II Chronicles
Freedom Planet

The Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is full of ear candy, as well. I'm not sure if I have an absolute favorite song from it, but Through the Sea of Time is definitely one of my tops.

I really like the music from ACNL because there are a ton of songs and they are all really really good!

Also In Harvest Moon DS I liked the record player. I always played Butterfly.( The heart event song)

Some of my favorites have already been mentioned but I'll bring them up again because man did they leave an impression on me.
I actually find a lot of my favorite OST come from PS1 RPGs.
They are just so good. <3

Legend of Mana OST


Legend of Mana was just a great game and I recommend it enthusiastically to any RPG fan and the music is so, so so so good.

Chrono Cross



The opening still sticks with me. It gets me feeling so many things ever time I listen to it. <3

Another one that left a big impression on me. The game is so memorable, the setting and atmosphere is just incredible and the music is a big part of that.

I love this thread because I'm doing a lot of writing this month and it reminded me of some truly great music I could be listening to. I could go on forever probably so I'll stop there for now but. I love video game music. A lot.

I love you for bringing up Professor Layton. They're my number one favorite video game OST! Especially the orchestra versions!!

I also love some OSTs from Pokemon: Laverre City, Latios/Latias Fly (Night) and Seafolk Village (Day). I remember flying in to the towns and leaving my 3DS open so they play as bgm whenever I do chores after playing hahah

If I had to pick one and only one, my all-time favorite series of music in gaming were the Castlevania games. Especially the ones done by Michiru Yamane, she's incredible.
