So is this like... A list?

The unseen village in TLV has a name, it's called "Hillsville".

The one in Light of Hope is "Beacon Town".

I don't think you need to add 'Town' to Lulukoko and Tsuyukusa, either. It's just Lulukoko and Tsuyukusa. I have not seen them called 'Lulukoko Town' or etc anywhere in the game. Only 'Westown' has the 'town' built right in.

SNES, GB/C, and GBC2 all take place in Flowerbud Village. GBC3 is some other place though.

Instead of "town" they could say "village" since I’ve seen people calling it that.

It's true that you could, and I don't suppose it would be wrong, but what I meant was that I don't think you're supposed to add anything to those names. :) Not like Oak Tree Town, where the actual name of the place really is Oak Tree Town, not 'Oak Tree'. But with Trio they're just what they are, to my knowledge...I've never heard anything in the game ever refer to them by anything but just their names with no 'town', 'village' or anything else added on. Just Tsuyukusa. Just Lulukoko. I find that a lot more natural, honestly, since most places aren't called with 'town' stuck on the end, right? Like...say Addison, Alabama. People don't say that they're from Addison Town...it's just Addison. That's what I meant. (I also live in a town and its just called by its name with no 'town' or 'village' or anything else tacked onto the end, which is actually the case with most places I can think of, so hearing them called Tsuyukusa Town and Lulukoko Town sounds really weird to me.)

Well, you don't usually add village, town or city to any place's name when you talk about them anyway. That doesn't mean they stop being a village, town or city.

It's only a few places where adding the descriptor after the name is common practice during a conversation.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is... New York and New York City are both valid ways to call the place.

True. And NYC is commonly called NYC rather than just NY, which is often extra useful since it is both the name of the state AND the name of the city. But that's not true everywhere...a lot of places it sounds downright weird to add 'town' after as though it were part of the name. If anyone called MY town that, everyone would look at them funny and wonder why they were speaking in such a stilted manner, or if they were being jokey or doing a skit or something. To me it sounds archaic and stiff to add 'Town' after as part of the name itself, like..."Why yes, good sir, I would be most appreciative if you could guide me on my way to Lulukoko Town, for I am quite lost!" It's not wrong...but in this case I find it outright weird, since it is a town, but town is not part of its name. It sounds strangely formal, to me. If it's casual talk, I can only imagine saying "I'm going to Lulukoko", and not "I'm going to Lulukoko Town." It just...sits wrong with me.

The city I live nearest to is Ottawa, and if anyone said that they were going to "Ottawa City", they'd get people blinking at them in surprise and assuming they're not from this area, or laughing, thinking they're trying to be cute, unless maybe they were very specifically referring to the downtown area in order to express that they were not including the outlying regions like Kanata and Orleans, or something. (I tested this on my sister just now and got exactly that response, lol...she thought I was trying to be cute, and when I said no, she assumed that meant I was being very specific about going to the downtown.)

Though Oak Tree Town, that was its full name...it would sound more strange to leave the 'town' off.

But people can do what they want, of course. If there is any rule that makes it literally wrong, I don't know it, I just think it sounds uncomfortable to the point where it feels completely wrong. For me anyway.

Though if we are being technical, none of the settlements in the series has enough people to be a town :P

Welcome to Lulukoko Hamlet.

I live in a village, and I can assure you that if someone actually added "village" to the name, it would sound really weird, and I'd probably be wondering what that person's issue was.
