So past couple of days I've been drowning my « Mr.Gourmet's hat » in monsters and titties (sometimes both, snrk) and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Although not nearly as much titties as i was expecting.
Anyway, but what really gets me is the story/quests are « Snuggly Bunny » A+. I miss having a female protagonist option but Geralt is gorgeous so i can't complain too much. Imo a lot of the gameplay is really overwhelming at first, but after some time i think I'm starting to get a handle on the crafting stuff, which is super key. « Snuggly Bunny » werewolves though, can't stand them.
But imo W3's biggest shining factor is the tough choices you gotta make for some of these quests story and side stuff. Im about halfway through the Velen major questline and i had to stop playing for a bit cause i can't make a damn decision. Unlike most games, this one really has a "deal with the consequences of your choices" aspect and follows through on it, and can screw you over in the most bizarre ways down the line. Had to go back like 2+ hours worth of game time cause a character lied to me and i didn't even know there was an alternative path i couldve take, and i went to go do that.
Graphics wise, the game is gorgeous. Music is fantastic. Combat leaves me frustrated at times if only because the loading screen you have to go thorough after dying takes FOREVER.
The game has a solid story but allows you to go beyond that and pick and choose what you want to do, compared to how many open worlds tend to go. No fetch quests, either.
Anyway sorry if this is old news for a lot of folks; but if you like games like skyrim and DA Id definitely recommend it whole heartedly. Its really, really dark at times and not for the faint of heart but imo its really good and you definitely get your money's worth.
And anyway im just looking for someone to talk to about it!! Cause man im still struggling with this one decision. Maybe im just a dork who overthinks this stuff but boiiiii.
