I just played through 4 days of AP (which is a pretty long time in AP terms) and then I turned off my Wii like 'Good. I made some good progress there.' And then I realised I diDN'T SAVE. So now I'm feeling all those horrible feelings like 'I just wasted hours of my life' but I'm trying to tell myself it wasn't a waste of time because I had fun and now I can spend those 4 days more productively etc etc. But still.

Have you ever done something similar to this? I feel your pain.
How do you cheer yourself up? Do you dive right back into the game to try and make up for lost time or does it take you a while to build yourself up to that point again?

OI. This feeling is the worst. I have been there, losing hours of progress, and it hurts.
Like you said, there is the opportunity to do things more efficiently this time around, but rarely does that make it any less frustrating.

How I usually cope with it is multitask, which, granted, is much easier to do with handheld games which is usually my situation, but it can work with consoles too I've found. Since often times I know what I'm doing the second time around and it comes down to repeating what I did before, rather than engaging with the game in a new way, I'll have something else I'm doing in the background. Watching a video or two, have a podcast going, or I'll have something to work on during loading times (like a drawing or something of that nature.)
That's just what I do though, and it might be weird to some. P:
But it helps me get past the monotonous task of redoing everything, and I usually feel better after.

I also have been known to take a long break if it was a particularly big accomplishment lost. :lol:

Sort of? Well, I don’t lose Gameplay, for me it’s more like video recording of a game I’ve lost if that counts?

I was working on a seeds of memories play through a while back but kinda gave up on it due to editing issues. However I may go back to it.

As for the actual gameplay I think I remember there was a time in ANB where I had to rebuild something because of not saving on accident.

Man, hats especially bad with AP. It'll probably feel pretty good once you get caught up again.

It's not often at all that I actually forget to save like that. It's more like that I'll forget to do something, or I'll trigger an event I wasn't ready for and I'll go to reset and then realize I haven't saved for awhile. So I have to actually make that choice to lose my progress or not.

I've had DS Cute freeze like 3 times and lost a few days each time. :(

I'm so sorry you guys have experienced similar things! ;__;
I was so mad at myself because it was totally my own fault. Like having your game freeze is INFURIATING but at least you can place the blame on something else. Although wow, DS Cute freezing 3 times?? That's so bad.

I've caught up now! And I made more progress in the same number of days so if I try and look on the bright side...it was all...worth it...
I've been obsessively saving at least once a day now though lol
