I think my feelings about the ending are different because I so heavily played both of the first two games. Unfortunately, I can't really express my thoughts on it clearly, as there are folks here who have not played them yet who are still going to and I don't want to accidentally reveal something, and even though there are no direct parallels, I feel like I could easily do so if I went into detail on why I was disappointed with Xenoblade 2's story increasingly in Chapter 9 and 10, since I'd need to talk about the previous stories to explain myself. I feel like now that we have reached the 3rd game in the series, it's become too easy for me to predict things, which is not as fun as being completely surprised by all the twists and turns. The first game's story had a lot more impact on me. The second did, too, really.
I hope there will be a Xenoblade 3. And really, I'm pretty sure there will be since all of the games have been big successes. But if so, I hope...eh...I feel like I'm getting into spoiler territory again, lol, so I'll just stop talking about it.
