Soooooo... hey guys! I've decided to buy anew 3ds and uh... have a little problem.... If I play my games (Physical Copy) that uses the sd card for data will the data from the sd card of that game still be there if I transfer the sd card to my newly bought 3ds? (Games like Fire Emblem Fates and Awakening, Animal Crossing, etc...)

Yeah. I'm pretty sure. But, just in case, I'd do a full system transfer to your new 3ds. If you don't want to do that, your data will probably stay with the cartridge and SD card.

I’ve always been told to do a full system transfer because the old SD card might not be good/compatible/have enough storage with the new system. You can definitely try but every time I got a new 3DS, I just transferred the data. That way I don’t loose anything.

When I got my N3DS I just transferred the data from one to the other. It took an hour or so but I didn't have to mess with anything at all afterwards. I just picked it up and played it after the transfer like it wasn't even a new system because it had everything from the SD card data to my system settings transferred over!

The issue I have with the transfer option myself is I always trade in my old one to get the new one. I really hate losing DLC though...

I always trade in mine too. I suggest asking if you can do a data transfer before trading it in. I’ve done that at gamestop twice and they had no issues with it. I guess it depends on who you trade it into though maybe.
