I won't give any context to avoid spoilers, but...
"You carry me with you, Estelle. Omelet and all."
I like that line, lol. I've made decent progress on my current game...I think I must be close to halfway done. I sure wish they'd say SOMEthing about Mysteria, though. I mean, the demo is up, and before she left Xseed, Brittany had done 2 or 3 localization blogs...they were saying 'fall 2018' and that's very close to gone even if you're going by the technical calendar 'fall' period that ends on Dec 21, so...where's my update, Xseed?

I too am anxiously awaiting London Mysteria's release date. In the meantime, I've actually returned RDR2 unopened. I just didn't foresee myself playing it. I think it's one of those games I would enjoy watching someone else play.
I also dusted off my PSVita TV and attempted to play P4 Dancing, but I'm not sure I can see everything flying across a 65" screen on the hardest level of difficulty. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm debating on buying the Persona Endless Dancing collection on my PS4 or my Vita. I really want the PS4 edition for the art book, but if I can't play the games on a TV, that's a useless investment. I need to play around with it more and see.
Lessee... I also picked up Sonic Mania, Will: A Wonderful World and Steamworld Heist for my Switch. I'm a bit miffed that Will doesn't support play with the Pro Controller. I hate the Joycons soooooooo much

Did you play the demo of Mysteria, ryume? I thought you had, but I may be remembering wrong. I love Emily, so far, and that's really a nice feeling...to be so interested in the main character herself, rather than in just the routes.

I haven't, mainly because I assumed it would be typical otome controls, etc. Kind of want to go into it not already having experienced anything yet (although spoilers don't count for me somehow lol). Plus at this point, if I get a taste of the game, I will just be more frustrated that a release date hasn't been finalized yet

I ended up picking up Slime Rancher and Yoku's Island Express and they are both such happy and relaxing games compared to what I normally play Nice for a change! I'm really enjoying them both so far.
Hubs and I also picked up Assassin's Creed Odyssey for half off during black Friday, so that'll be here Monday. Excited to get started on that as well.

The demo of Mysteria is the very beginning of the game. Sadly, not very much of it...just enough to let you meet Emily and two route characters without any significant development on anyone's part. Unless the other guy is also a route, in which case, three characters. Basically it gives you a glimpse of their personalities and the basic idea of how the plot begins, but it's pretty low in any information or detail you get...basically you get to play the first ten or fifteen minutes of the game. (I guess how much really depends on how fast you read.)
It's good though so I can see it causing extra discontent in waiting.
Right now, with the game I'm playing, I have an issue with a favourite character's portrait image. They have a normal expression and the usual variations, but they also have an expression that is, I think, supposed to be ... coldhearted, I think, but instead they look...concussed. Vacant. It's driving me nuts every time I see them, lol.

I finished Finding Paradise. Beautiful game ;v; my heart is heavy with feels so I might not play something story-driven yet ;v;
Spoiler:
Also! It looks like there will be a third game! Just what is Neil up to... I hope it doesn't take as long as Finding Paradise (7yrs after To The Moon wew)

Pachi, you inspired me to read up on, and subsequently purchase, To the Moon and Finding Paradise! They were on sale in a very reasonably priced bundle along with their respective soundtracks on Steam. Very excited to check these out, so thanks for talking about the games here!
I always learn about so many games I never would have known existed thanks to the people on Ushi

I may have to pick up To the Moon myself! It reminds me of Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - just sort of backwards. (Certainly is a deal, that's for sure.)
The only games I've played recently have been on Switch. I went back to Hollow Knight and started a new file to get back into the swing of things and beat it this time! I even managed the regular...non shade cloak ending.
The best thing, though, was finally beating Colosseum 2 and getting the pure nail. Spoilers on a secret related to that...
Spoiler:
I've seen the bit where the painting is done and they're sculpting together, but never this. Made me laugh that Team Cherry bothered to include it. Too cute.

Wohoo I'm glad you guys are picking it up! Tbh To The Moon is one of the games that stayed with me ever since, and would recommend to everyone ^^

I finished Valiant Hearts. I tried to keep myself together, but the last scene with Emile was too powerful. Glad no one was around to watch me bawling over my Switch (lol).

It's really a struggle to even remember what I played this month. But I'm done with gaming for the month (I'm actually a bit worn out on it, lol; I did so much to finally complete Trails in the Sky) plus I replayed Trio again and some BotW, so I'm kind of mixed up and am having to refer back to previous pages in this thread to figure it out. So here we go...
Spoiler:
November 2018 (Started at +7)
Purchased (happily both were on half price!)
~Atelier Lydie and Suelle (-1)
~Waku Waku Sweets (-1) *Total purchased: (-2)
Completed
~Atelier Lydie and Suelle (+1)
~Waku Waku Sweets (+1)
~Trails in the Sky FC (+1)
~Trails in the Sky SC (+1) *Total completed (+4)
Abandoned
~Trails in the Sky the 3rd (0)
November total: (+2)
2018 total: (+9)
Candidate next up for completion: Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny. I'm not feeling motivated toward it, yet, but I've gotta try...I want to swap my PS3 with my Wii U in the basement so I can have XCX at hand again. I've decided I don't want to play Trails in the Sky the 3rd and am just going to read an lp of it. I've already started but honestly so far, in spite of what all the fans say, it doesn't seem particularly significant to the lore of Cold Steel. Right now it just feels like a game of fan service.
Taking a few days off of gaming now, though. I may stroll around in a Trio or BotW file idly just for the familiar company, but no more backlog-chiselling for me until December. I could afford to do a major house cleaning instead, anyway.
Only a month left to go for 2018's backlog, and for this thread! I'll start up a 2019 backlog thread within a few days of the end of December and ask Kirie to close this one on January 1, if possible

Okay, I might be giving up Rune Factory 2. While I do like it more than Tides of Destiny, I don't like that the lessons from the school to learn recipes don't seem to disappear; I don't remember what lessons I've taken until I've started them up again. And the difficulty curve is something I'm not a fan of either. I might go back to it eventually like Tides of Destiny, but I'm just not feeling the second generation of Rune Factory 2.
I'm fairly confident I can rank the Rune Factories now.
4 > 3 > Frontier > 1 > 2 > Tides of Destiny
As for what I'm going to play next, I'm not sure. I'm in the mood for playing a game I don't own or have just gotten. I'm playing Fallout 76 on and off with my boyfriend, so there's that. Maybe I'll play Kynseed some more.

I'm going to recommend that anyone who has a Switch should pick up the Forgotton Anne demo. It's amazingly different than what I thought it would end up being. It's like playing a movie, and the voice-acting feels high-budget. Also, it has choices that appear to matter. I totally just killed what was probably a perfectly nice scarf, Anne thinking it was a rebel because of my choices, but...I kind of think it probably wasn't a bad guy, so I kind of regret vaporizing him, or whatever it is I actually did to suck the life out of him. Kind of hard to choose right within the first sixty seconds of a game, lol...I was still trying to figure out how it even worked.
The music is very good, too.

I downloaded it and played maybe 10 minutes of the demo. I loved what I played and will absolutely buy it!
