FINALLY got a freaking package slip so it's probably my copy of Pripara. Took 1000 years but I can finally play it tomorrow (after I pick it up a 1pm, because I can't get it before then :/) which is great because I need something different right now. I hope I don't have to pay a stupid duty on it. I'm never ordering from PlayAsia again.

Found out today that the physical of Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles for Switch is coming out June 12th while the digital is out on May 17th. Tempting to go digital, but I want that hard copy, so I can wait a bit. I'll have Fallen Legion to keep me busy until then anyways.

Looking forward the Splatfest this weekend. Sea Snails, I need them.

Dragon Age 2 became backwards compatible on Xbox One! And just like that, I add five files to play through again. I never did fully explore all the romances; I only went through Isabela's and Anders'. Same with the choices; never did them.

I'll go through DAO first twice before going through DA2 five times; got to solidify my canon files for both games.

Meanwhile, MEA on insanity is pretty easy so far. Maybe it's because I'm level 132 with all the skills? It makes me want to do a DAI file on nightmare difficulty; I'm sure it'll be tougher, but I do want to try and go for the platinum.

I know what you mean. I thought April and May would be a good, free month. Instead, DA2 became backwards compatible, a bunch of the games I wanted went on sale, and I discovered new PS4 titles I want.

I'm going to interchange between my file for DA2 and my Reyes-mance MEA file. I had to start DA2 up again with the female Hawke I initially made when it first game out; I'm surprised I was able to remember how she came out perfectly. I got to Act 1 and am about to get her love interest, Anders. In my Reyes-mance, insanity file, I'm working on Voeld. I think the environmental hazards are a lot worse; I don't remember the cold being this brutal in normal mode. Just going to try and beat both before the 10th/11th, before One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 comes out.

I don't know if this fully counts as a backlog update, but...I've done a lot of furniture reorganizing and my gaming set up is now super inviting...not just comfy but ergonomically supportive (lol, funny how much more appealing that gets with each decade) of all my quirks and crunchy bits. And it even looks better and has better access and storage, so I'm pretty happy.

I feel more like gaming now that I'm not in pain within an hour or so. :) Maybe I can actually complete those longer games on my list. (Turns out I'm not half way through FE: Awakening, though...I'm only at chapter 9, so about a third through.)

I'd say that counts in a way. My setup is super sad and small LOL.

There will be more games added as they release. I don't really keep Switch games my fiance also has, so I no longer have BoTW, SMO, and some other titles. He does have his own copy of Xenoblade 2, but as he lives a country away and we're both waiting for the DLC, my copy ain't going nowhere.

Oh man, I love FE:A. It's my third favourite in the series. I find that the middle chapters go by super quick while the last few are semi long. The game gets extra long if you intend on getting every playable character, but you don't have to if you don't want to.

I've stalled out on FE:A three times now. I don't dislike it at all, but the whole strategy battling stuff isn't my thing and obviously it's the main part of the gameplay. I really like the characters, which kept me from abandoning it.

This is the kind of game that would probably turn into a favourite for me if it were a story-driven RPG like a Xenoblade game, but because it's turned-based strategy, never becomes something I can say I love. Still, the characters seem worth sticking it out for. (Not sure about the story. Honestly I don't even remember what the story is, now, so I guess it didn't grab me very hard.)

The whole battle-proximity-influencing-relationships thing is really unique to me, though, in an interesting way. There may be other games like that out there but I've never played them or heard of them.

I settled the outpost on Kadara again. Slowly, but surely, I'm working on this Reyes-mance file of Andromeda so I can put the game behind me for a while. Reyes' romance is pretty much how I feel about Blackwall's in DAI: it enhances his character and should be vital to the character arc not restricted to those who romanced him. For Reyes' romance, here's where I'm putting him.

Vetra > Cora > Peebee > Suvi > Avela > Reyes > Keri

Vetra has yet to be undone. I won't be getting to Gil or Jaal for a while (Gil is 7th and Jaal is 8th), which makes Liam next. I doubt he'd beat Vetra though; I'm not a fan of him either, but he should be better than Reyes at least, hopefully.

I'm now in the long stretch where it's just side quest after side quest before going with Hunting the Archon.

While I am trying to get my Andromeda files out of the way, I am looking forward to playing something different for a while; just a few more days until One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 for Switch! I've also decided to pick up Lego The Incredibles for Switch when it comes out on June 15th. It should be a nice, little co-op game I can play with my sister and younger cousins.

I've also been playing Stardew Valley multiplayer with one of my friends. It's fun if a little buggy. We're trying to balance everything out and it's both working and not. I'm fishing while he mines and we both farm. We did get to dance at the festival, so that was nice. Too bad Sebastian and Abigail didn't dance though; we took their spot on the dance floor. We're going to be playing with another friend tomorrow; he's never played it and waited until mutliplayer was out, so this'll be fun.

So you actually replay the game each time Ronin? You don't just split off the files and then do the romances from there? That's super hardcore :p

Unfortunately I wasn't able to clear out my backlog before PoE2 hits tomorrow as I hoped. Getting all of the stuff to move internationally has taken up a ton of my time, and then I'm just too tired to play anything after I'm done for the day. No big deal at least! Very excited for PoE2 tomorrow and I'm just gonna chill out and game for a few days which is gonna be great to help my stress levels.

On the plus side, I'm excited to make my annual E3 thread! Should be a lot of fun this year, and it's coming up so fast. EA conference is up first of the bunch on the 9th, so I'll probably make my thread about a week before since leaks and stuff usually start coming out around that time.

If anyone is curious here is the schedule atm for the conferences this year:
EA - June 9th (11am PT//2pm ET)
Microsoft - June 10th (1pm PT//4pm ET)
Bethesda - June 10th (6:30pm PT//9:30pm ET)
Ubisoft - June 11th (1pm PT//4pm ET)
Nintendo - June 12th (9am PT//12pm ET)
Sony - TBA

There have been supposed leaks on E3 for a couple of months now, one of which seemed semi-credible, but that way lies heartbreak, so I haven't been banking on it at all. I can't resist getting excited for all the 'maybe' E3 always holds, though.

So far nothing that is confirmed for E3 is of any interest to me at all, so my hopes are all on nice surprises. I'd LOVE if XSeed up and confirmed CSIII's localization. I'm also hoping to see Sakuna from them. Of course, new bokumono games don't get reveals at E3, nor do Tales games (though the Tales Fest is pretty much concurrent with E3) so I've got nothing to look for on those counts.

I'm thinking that unless the rumors I've heard are true, or we otherwise get some surprising releases, I'm not going to find this E3 all that great since my best-loved games are all apparently 'niche'...though naturally I will still be paying attention because hope springs eternal and all that :)

As for backlogs...ugh. I'm so uninterested in my top-priority games right now...I may have to choose new ones. My new chair won't be here for another 2 or 3 days so I won't be doing ANY gaming until then, most likely, since my neck and back are just too broken right now. Oh well, I'm busy now anyway. I should be working RIGHT NOW, lol. (I'm going to as soon as I finish typing this. The problem with having very free working guidelines is that you have to be very muscular in the willpower.)

...I should have done that! There are too many missions that become available when you unlock the new planets; it irritates me!

But yeah, I don't like doing that anyway, so I make new files with new characters. This is file 5 with Scott Ryder and Reyes. File 6 is Sara Ryder with Liam, 7 Scott Ryder with Gil, and 8 Sara Ryder with Jaal. I'm still earning negative experience; I'm close to -400K with a level 132 Ryder!

So do I like doing this? With games I enjoy, sure, but MEA is an okay/good game with terrible pacing. I did this fine with the Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age Origins, and Dragon Age Inquisition, but Andromeda makes this hard.

Plus, you never know when/if EA and BioWare will spring jump us with Andromeda 2. I can dream the dream that will never happen.

As for E3, I'm looking forward to Nintendo's conference the most. Maybe it's because I'm still waiting for that Animal Crossing announcement. I'd like to see more Pokemon news than a teaser we got last year that they're just working on one. Someone leaked/rumored that their conference table is going to feature Smash Bros. (already confirmed) and Pokemon (unconfirmed), so if the Pokemon one is at least true I'll be a happy gamer. But still, come on Nintendo; I need my Animal Crossing fix on the Switch!

What might make me the happiest gamer ever is if EA announces Dragon Age 4 and it's coming to the Switch. Doubtful since I think they're going to focus on Anthem; maybe we'll finally get more information on the game.

Probably the only one I want to watch. I might actually take the day off so I can watch it live, because I don't want to come home to everyone screaming at me "WOOOAHH LOOOK AT THIS THING!"

I wanna be surprised as I watch it with everyone else, not get it secondhand from news sites and WOM.

My blacklog has slowed down as i'm only collecting clothing in both Splatoon 2 and Pripara(both of which require money grinding). Gosh I love games with full customization. Other than that, waiting on DLC for Xenoblade 2 and Atelier Lydie & Suelle, which I will promptly play once they release and then put the games back down.

My next game is Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory on May 29th (the physical of Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles was also supposed to come out this day, but it's been pushed to June 12, oh well) and i'm really looking forward to it. Looks like a fun Valkyrie Profile styled game with a nice art style.

Also, i'm super irritated at EB Games. I ordered a giftcard with some money my fiance sent me for my birthday and noticed the street address was missing part of the name. I email them, give them the corrected address, they tell me it's all good and they'll fix it, annnnd I get a shipping confirmation from them today listing the incorrect address. Guys. GUYS. Why the hell did I even bother if you were just going to ignore me in the end!? Hopefully everything is fine because my postal code, name, town, and street # are fine, it's just the street name that's messed up. :/

Thinking of going through all my video games this summer and getting them all in order to see what games I still need to complete and what I want to replay. I could probably get rid of a few games too. I think it was Bluie who earlier on this forum linked to The Backloggery and as a site looks way better then the MVGL site I've been using so I should make an account there and get my games in order wah.

Ofc the only one I want to watch is the day after I leave for vacation and we won't have any internet where we're staying. Guess I'll just have to be bombarded with information a few weeks later upon my return. :(

I got some bday money so I bought Death Road to Canada and Dragon Quest Builders. DR is super fun, but I die a lot. Playing DQB again is like visiting an old friend.

I got the credits sequence for Pripara and I have two more storylines to finish before it's truly done, but i'm putting it aside for casual play for now, for when an eventual drought hits.

Finished up file 5 for Andromeda and man Reyes was the worst romance I've ever done. Still better than Keri since he shows up at the end, but still, an eye wink and no kiss like the rest of the romances minus Avela? At least Avela's is pretty sweet and I totally two-timed her with Vetra; that Scott Ryder is in for it. Scott Ryder is definitely settling in as my canon Pathfinder while Sara sits out as Sibling Ryder simply because the voice acting for both of them is better in that role imo. The only determining factor now is if Liam is a better romance than Vetra, but I doubt it and I won't be playing Andromeda again for some time. I have solidified most of the choices; just two of them are pretty difficult to choose.
Spoiler:
Reyes vs Sloane - Reyes is the better option, no doubt about that, but it's the way he got Kadara that pisses me off. I'd rather he be honest and dueled Sloane fair, but I guess that's his character arc. It's what makes this choice pretty hard to choose, and I do kind of like Sloane.

Raeka vs krogan scouts - Raeka is such an awesome character that I thought the choice was simple when I saw her standing with Vederia and Avitus, but then I read that you don't get to see Kesh's clutch of krogan eggs; saving the krogan scouts is the only way you get to see them. Plus, the kett have mastered exalting krogan, so it makes the choice harder.
Especially since I like Raeka much more than Hayjer. Such difficult choices!
I'm too broke now, sad face, but One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 came out today, I can prepurchase Banner Saga 1 for Switch and it comes out next week, and Hyrule Warriors for Switch comes out next week too. So next time I get paid, and I have budgeted for the next two weeks, it'll determine what I get.

For now, it's time to go back to Dragon Age 2 and figure out how to play the Friend/Rival system properly again. Need a proper guide
