Fire Emblem Echoes question

So my question is, did anyone here who played the game finished the whole story without the dlc?
The DLC is completely ignorable. There are free items you are given via internet connection (mainly villager forks that are used for reclassing anyone to a villager) plus things you can purchase.
I beat it once with no DLC and then my second playthrough I did a run with a few DLC classes + using the forks to change some people's classes around. It's entirely doable to finish the game with no DLC.
