I am not really a gamer, just harvest moon obsessed (so this pertains to mainly HM or HM type games) I normally only play one game at a time, and try and play it to completion... other than the older HM games that had no real end point (still go fishing from time to time on my old FOMT game). What I am wondering, is are there any players like me..one game at a time; or does everyone play a bunch of different HM games at a time.
I should also say that I am a very OCD type player. Keep notes, save everyday, try to plan out things out, so I can maximize my game play. Any other weirdos like me out there that can keep that level of detail going in more than one game at a time?

I only play one game at once. I can't manage more. I usually only manage to complete games I can really get into and don't want to think about anything but the game I am currently playing once I do get into it. Also, a lot of my games are detailed, and I can't store that much temporary info at once...it takes me a long time to get used to the controls and everything else. "Tales of" games aren't detailed at all in the way of bokumono games, for example, but I find it hard to remember all of the battle moves/combos, and if I try to play two games at once, I mess them all up.

Definitely only one game at once. In fact, I usually don't do anything BUT play a game once I get really into it. When I'm into a game I'm not interested in reading or watching TV or anything other hobby or form of entertainment...just that game.

Yep, I am the same way. I guess I have just hit a slow down with ANB and was considering playing a different game to get me through the slump...but I am guessing I probably wouldn't end up going back to ANB, and that would be gnawing at me. Good to know I am not the only one obsessively playing one game at a time. Reading the forums I see so many other games being discussed, and then seeing all the wonderful new stories to be discovered with the newer HM games I have, but are just sitting there... it gets hard just letting them sit there..especially when I hit a slow down with the current game.

i'm usually playing two games at once (not including mobile games), but for the past year the second game has pretty much always been lotro. i don't really have much interest in video games and tend to gravitate toward ones i can play pretty much forever, so aside from that i'm usually either playing the most recent bokumono (if i like it. if not, i'm usually replaying ds cute instead), the most recent pokemon (that i own), or going through a semi-annual playthrough of dq5 or 9. of those, bokumono gets the majority of my time and effort

When it comes to harvest moon/Sos games, I only play one at a time but I do play multiple types of games at the same time.

What I mean is that I could be playing a hm game on my 3DS, switch over to my iPod and play a mobile game then suddenly move on to a console system game; all within a day lol.

I’m kind of fickle sometimes. If I’ve already beaten a game, I’ll sometimes turn it on then turn it right back off because I’m bored of it

I play multiple games at a time, currently I'm cycling through finishing fe revelations, neverwinter nights 2 motb, P5, and dragon age inquisition, I tend to cycle through and progress through a group of games, usually finishing a large amount at the same time. My last cycle of starting-finishing games was ME Andromeda, zelda botw, persona 4 (which I honestly thought I wouldn't finish), and fe awakening (started dozens of times but fully completed for the first time since I got it).

I can’t play multiple games at once it’s really confusing. Especially when it’s just multiple files of the same game lol.

Usually one at a time, but if one game is a pick up and play like Monster Hunter, then i'll play it alongside something else so I don't make myself sick of it.

Multiplayer games with short matches (like Overwatch) are kind of a mainstay for me so I play them alongside other games no matter what, but I usually focus on one single player game at a time. I hate not beating games and I'm way more likely to abandon them if I'm playing a bunch at once so I tend to avoid it.

Normally I focus on one game, but if it gets to be too much for me I'll go to a game I've played before that I planned on playing again. Ex.: The protagonist of .hack//G.U. annoyed me so much that I started playing Mass Effect 3 until I felt ready to go back to .hack. I guess it really depends on if I feel like playing the game I'm currently playing and if I need to switch to a different game to give myself a break. My Mass Effect 3 file is there in case I get bored wooing Lisette in my second file of Trio of Towns, but I don't think it'll happen any time soon; I'm enjoying her events at the moment.

wow..that is some great responses. I too, can not imagine playing the amount that some of you do..kudos! I know I would be too confused with multiple save files and games. (where am I, I have no memory of this place). I do play wormax for when I just want to zone out and not think... I wish I was better able to jump back and forth, but alas that is not me. I guess that's the non gamer in me... I get confused like Shan..lol even HM controls change from game to game.
I really do enjoy reading what others like to play along side HM games.

Depends on the complexity of the games in question. Generally I only play one game, one game file/character at a time. But some games I can squeeze in from time to time as they are not that rushed, like some city building sims where you spend most your time just watching and waiting for something to happen.

I usually dedicate myself to one game but may play other games in short bursts during, such as mobile games or a quick match of something with friends. If I try to play two time intensive games at once, one usually becomes a focal point while the other one gets left in the dust. I try to beat games before moving forward for this reason.
