Ah, avatar customization, my one weakness.

I'd better be able to have wacky hair colors this time.

Now they just have to put a Pokemon in the game that looks like a Samurai Corgi. Then it'll have nearly all of Bluie's one and only weaknesses ;)

Here's a weird bit of news! Well, maybe only I think it's weird, though. Sony/Playstation is going to be mining their catalogue of games for movie ideas. Movies which they themselves will make. Is this news?

If there's a Corgi pokemon this time around, i'm gonna die from cuteness. Unlikely to see it dresses in samurai attire, but the thought though... hnnng

At first I thought this announcement had nothing to do with me, since I don't yet have any games that I play multiplayer, and I don't even have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. However, my li'l sis will probably move away in a few years, and I'm not the type to chat on the phone...but it might be fun to play games with her. So the announcement...brought to my attention because Nintendo of America retweeted it...about PDP gaming making a new controller with build-in audio support (you could just listen to your game through headphones by connecting your earphones to the controller, or, if it supports chat, you could connect a full headset) sort of caught my interest. Paired with previous news about Vivox releasing a software development kit for their in-game chat system (same as the one used in Fortnite) this might be good?

I assume that in spite of retweeting the news about PDP's new controller, Nintendo themselves will probably stick with their own, utterly moronic eternal-app-and-smart-device-required chat system for their own games, which means I probably wouldn't be able to use this with Animal Crossing Switch, but...maybe there will be other games I'm into that make this useful. There are definitely games I'd like to try playing with li'l sis, and this set-up seems simple even to me.

I'm going to put this set on my watch-list, anyway, and wait and see what happens. So far I know of very few games on Switch that offer native chat, but perhaps more will emerge.

For anyone who's interested, it seems Gamestop has listed Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition Complete for the Nintendo Switch (made by Natsume.) The price will be $30 US, and the date it's supposed to come out is June 25, 2019.

Oninaki has a new trailer. Per that article, it's also going to be getting a demo, at least in Japan. No idea if that means we'll also get a demo but I would love if we did! Oninaki is a game I'm quite hung up on...no idea if it's a good idea to buy it or not, yet. It's a game I'll have to wait until after release to decide on, I think. Unless we really do get the demo. (But I'm still crossing my fingers on a DQB2 demo as well!)

Lapis X Labyrinth has such great colours and cute characters, I want it on that basis...but for no other reason, since I'm not into dungeon crawlers. So I'm not gonna get it. I wish Twitter would stop stuffing its adorableness into my face. But I'd have to unfollow NIS America to achieve that, and they also give me the official CS III info (I think they've shown us all the voice clips and the mini character intros now...not sure what they're planning to dribble out over the following months!) so that's not going to happen. I'll just have to put up with a faceful of cute and resist the temptation all on my own willpower.

Boo.

DQB2's DLC schedule was announced for the west!

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/ ... 432IzjDGzs
One free DLC pack and three packs of paid DLC will be available for DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 starting on July 26. Each of these paid packs can be purchased separately or together as a Season Pass at a discounted price of only $20.99. These packs offer content like new locations to explore, additional recipes, new quests and a variety of customizable options like clothes and hairstyles.

Knickknack Pack (July 26, Free) – This free pack includes three recipes to create a Pretty Paddle, Celebratory Soup and Ornate Adornment so players can celebrate every New Year with some Hotto flair.

Hotto Stuff Pack (July 26, $5.99) – This pack includes more than 40 recipes to design and decorate structures that look similar to The Hotto Steppe – a popular resting area in a distant land where visitors take a sweat break from their weary travels. Players will also get access to an additional island to gather material that they’ll need to build these recipes.

Aquarium Pack (Aug. 2, $9.99) – Check the mailbox on the Isle of Awakening to discover a fishing island with a net full of quests and characters to meet. Learn how to catch 40 different fish that can be added to a DIY aquarium. Unlock the fishing rod as well as customization options, including swimwear, straw hats and a ponytail hairstyle.

Modernist Pack (Aug. 9, $9.99) – This pack includes more than 70 different recipes to construct modern-looking structures, as well as additional hairstyles and clothing. Players can take their architectural skills to the next level by building a fashionable luxury hotel.

Players will receive in-game bonus items by purchasing the Season Pass and/or the digital version of the game.
I might actually wait to purchase the game after the last DLC pack hits, because I'd rather it all be there when I start the game.

Woo! I saw the announcement from Nintendo about the game being officially up for pre-order (amazon.ca already had it up though as I pre-ordered it last week, so I guess this just made it official?) but I did NOT see any news about the DLC stuff. YAAAAAY. Season pass, here I come.

I would have DEFINITELY bought the first two packs, so since you can get the third one thrown in for a dollar more with the season pass, and I probably would have bought it anyway, sounds like a good idea to me!

Btw, I forgot to mention this, and those who want the game probably already know, but Ooblets seems to be likely to have a closed alpha, so anyone who wants in on that should definitely keep an eye on that newsletter.

YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World is getting localized for PS4, Switch, and PC! It's a remake of a really old VN and has a currently airing anime adaption.

I've been watching the anime as I doubted it would get localized, but shut me up, here it is! Guess i'm gonna stop watching now as I don't want any more of the plot twists revealed.

Woo-hoo!! I'm so excited. I've been interested in this for a bit, although I've forgotten much about it.

GUST has just shown off a teaser for their new project.

As much as I love Atelier, I hope it's something else. The tease itself looked and sounded like Blue Reflection 2 until the characters were shown. I hope it's a game in the Ar series or a new IP altogether. If it is Atelier, I hope it shakes things up a bit. Regardless, i'm intrigued. Only a few more days until the 28th to see what it's all about.

It really did look like Blue Reflection. But then that girl showed up and it was Atelier all over.

Apparently there is to be some 'surprising' Dragon Quest news in the June 10th issue of Shonen Jump. I'm not a fan of DQ, myself (except DQB) but there are a lot of fans so here's the little article, if anyone cares to see it. Mind you, teaser announcements like this always declare that they are about to reveal some 'surprising' or 'shocking' or 'unexpected' news, and yet, no one ever seems to turn up surprised or shocked. It'll be interesting if it really is that surprising. :)
