That's interesting, Fishie, had no idea it was already out on 3DS. Though I can't tell if they're exactly the same game or if the one I've been seeing for Switch is a new version. The graphics are nicer, but maybe that's just a tidied up port. It doesn't seem to be time management, anyway, which is a surprise.

I suppose we won't hear if they're gonna localize Nelke until after it has its Japanese release...I know it'd be very likely if it was a mainline game, but since it's a spinoff I'm less confident.

It takes an average of 2-3 months for Atelier localization these days. They tend to release early in the year, usually in March, but can sometimes be delayed until summer/fall depending. We'll just have to see what happens and hope they don't skip it.

There's potential news about Fantasy Life Online. Though it doesn't concern me since it's Japan only but perhaps folks here who can work with Japanese and don't mind mobile gaming are interested? The video is awfully cute. I'd really like another REAL Fantasy Life game, though...not anything mobile. (And especially not a mobile game that is Japan only, lol.)

Oh hey, there was a demo of DQXI at E3 and looks like there was an hour long video of it. (Horseracing city of Gallopolis indeed...)

And there's a new Re: Legend updatenow, of course, since we've passed the 25th of the month. Personally I'm not crazy about their new blacksmith character as he seems to be a stereotype that annoys me, but we don't really know anything about him yet. (I'm judging him mostly on the fact that he has a big wad of curly pink chest hair cut into the shape of a heart.) Nonetheless, it's nice to see a character introduction, since this is the first one. At least as far as I know. :)

*Sees Nekopara Vol 1 is coming out in our regions on Switch*

Huh, well, I guess I'll probably buy it. I can't tell if people on Steam like it even without the « Chicken Hugging » scenes, or if they're just memeing. I've kinda wanted to play it but no PC to download it. I'll have to see if funds allow me some cat waifus early July.

Also something that probably only I'm interested it, they're making a new game in the vein off Teddy Together (Kumatomo) called Nekotomo. Not too much info to go on right now (gonna be shown off tomorrow), but I enjoyed my time with Kumatomo (I imported it a looong time ago) so i'd be willing to import again. It'd be cool if this one get's localized too, but we'll see, I don't want to make an EU account just to buy it. I hope the voices for the cats aren't annoying/creepy, because the synthetic voices are always bordering on the two.

Oh hey...a new game with farming/gardening aspects (and town-building) is coming out. Castaway Paradise. Sadly not for Switch, but it's on PC already, (since 2015, actually) and will come to PS4 and Xbox and...I couldn't see the others. It looks like a baby made between Minecraft and Animal Crossing, imo. I'm interested, and my sister would definitely play that. Gonna add it to my wishlist so I don't forget about it.

I could put this into the Masterpost thread too but I'm sure Bluie will see this as it is. :)

Oookay, this is one of the neatest ideas I've ever seen for a...what would you even call this, a sort of matching game or tetris type? It's so neat that you build buildings by combining falling block colours to level them up and get better and better buildings that way. I may have to own that. It's called SubaraCity and it's coming to Switch this August so I'll keep my eye out for it. :) Hopefully it'll become available in North America. It's shown on Nintendo's English site so I assume it is/will be? I'm not completely clear on that.

EDIT: Funny, it's already available on 3DS, so...I guess it's pretty likely the Switch version will be available in English too. Huh, the things I have never even noticed on my 3DS bfore, like this and Waku Waku Sweets. Somehow they slide by totally under my radar.

Farm Folks has taken to Kickstarter.

I'll pass for now, but It'll probably meet its goal. I like how the chickens move.

Not really a game announcement, but a gatcha game called Ordinal Strata is doing a RF4 collab, and the official RF twitter retweeted it. Still nice to see the franchise being used and relevant (gimme RF5 plz)

Yeah, i'm tempted to import, but i'm also curious if they'll bother to localize it. Nintendo was the one to publish it in EU, so it'd all depend if they'd want to do it again, cause no way Bamco is gonna do it!

I'm pretty interested in Farm Folks, but their Kickstarker set up is not impressing me. I have a lot of questions, especially since they didn't even say whether or not you can play as a female MC, but they have NO FAQ up at all. This also appears to be their first game so there's no info I can scrounge up to decide if they're likely to fall through on this or not. They don't even show where the Nintendo Switch ranks on their goal list, which is very off-putting for me, so...not gonna back this unless they up their game and convince me they're worth it. (I also think their MC design is absolutely hideous. Not sure if customization would make it better or not.)

EDIT: This is an odd one. A previously Japan-only otome game for mobile is being localized. I don't really know what that means, since no platforms are mentioned for the localization. Perhaps it's going to be a mobile app game in English as well? I know of Midnight Cinderella, which is an app I've seen available through Google Play, so I guess that's what this is, too. Hmm, not as much fun as a regular game without waiting times and sneaky ways they try to make you pay to be able to play in a way that's more enjoyable. :/

World End Syndrome continues to intrigue me. I'd say the mystery portion is more caught my eye than the girls. I wonder if Aksys will bother localizing it? They seem to be the only company that bother with ToyBox games outside of Japan, so they'd be the obvious choice. They have plenty of experience in localizing VNs, so i'll keep my hopes, tentatively, up.

World End Syndrome looks decent, I might try it. :)

Fantasy Life Online is getting more details now that it's closer to launch. It looks really good for a mobile game but it's inaccessible to me so...meh, I guess. Can't have everything.

EDIT: Just updating my I'm currently most hoping for localization announcements on Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, Dragon Quest Builders 2, and Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists, and I'm not sure but it's possible there might be some announcements from AX coming up soon? (I'm discounting Cold Steel...I want news on it very much but it's kind of nerve-wracking.) I'm also hoping that we might get an announcement of a new Tales game by the end of the year (as in we'll actually get a title and confirmation of which consoles it's to be for...we know a game is in development but that was barely news at all), and if Nintendo is sticking to their (seemingly new) policy of not announcing/showing games that are more than 9 months in the future, perhaps whatever Direct comes last in the year might showcase Animal Crossing for Switch. That'd be great :D
