Just learned that there’s going to be SS marriage in Farm Folks, that just bumped it to the top of my list.
Otherwise there’s a visual novel that I’ve been keeping my eye on but I’m not sure about it yet :/
It’s called Dead Wishes
It’s got a good horror theme going and it’s a dating sim but I’ve never really been interested in visual novels so I’m a little...unsure if I’d like it.

There's no point in me backing Farm Folks unless they confirm either the PS4 version or the Switch version, since PC is not an option. I'd be interested then, but it looks like that is a long ways off in terms of how much more donations they'd need to get before that becomes possible, so I doubt I'll be backing it.
I've been seeing a tiny bit of news about The World Ends With You: Final Remix recently but the screenshots were still in Japanese. I'd like to see more of an English version; I'm considering it since that game has been pushed at me by my shopping history recommendations many times, lol.

Oof, I'm really interested in The World Ends With You, and have wanted to play it since it was released on DS originally, but apparently the switch version is gonna be $60 and that price doesn't sit right with me. I know there's a lil additional content and the graphics are HD, but for a port of an 11 year old game it just seems a bit much.
I'll maybe wait for a sale if I can, but that game's been on my bucket list for a loooong time lol
Edit: Also thought it was worth mentioning, but Yokai Watch Blasters has been confirmed for localization! So that's fun.
I really like the Yokai Watch games, so I'm down to try out the spin-offs, though I don't know if it's the sort of game that has a lot of appeal here.
Wonder if we'll ever get YW3

They also remixed the entire soundtrack and had to reconcile the top-screen battles from the DS era. TWEWY had one of the strangest battle systems where they actually used both screens of the DS. They also had to fix how the battles would be in table-top/docked mode vs. handheld mode. Handheld mode apparently has the touchscreen battle controls intact and you just use the JoyCons in docked/tabletop mode. It's also now apparently 2-player. And if you think about it, they also had to record new voiced lines for the extra content and completely remaster the sound effects. So, roughly 4,800 yen (roughly $43 USD) isn't that bad of a price point. The Final Remix is not a fully priced Switch game in Japan, so I don't think it will be over here. That's what the official JP site says at least. I can't find anything official about the price of the game right now. All the sites currently have it as a fully priced Switch game, but they also don't have an official release date at the moment either nor does the game have an official site in English. Just seems weird to me that they'd have people pay $60 for the game outside of Japan. I could very well be wrong, but the pricing on the official Japanese site says 4,800 Yen.Ehppy wrote:Oof, I'm really interested in The World Ends With You, and have wanted to play it since it was released on DS originally, but apparently the switch version is gonna be $60 and that price doesn't sit right with me. Here's where I pulled the new stuff about the system from.
And here's the official JP site. I'm mainly linking this because you can listen to 3 songs from the OST here. And I believe they're the remixes too. I don't remember Calling and Twister sounding like that. To be honest, even if the game IS a full-priced $60, the soundtrack alone is worth it to me.
I really want to try TWEWY myself as well, but i'll be waiting for a sale / drought before I pick it up. I had a friend in highschool who was kinda poorish and the only game he was ever able to afford was TWEWY, so I've had a lot of the plot spoiled for me as it was the only game he ever really talked about. It kinda turned me off of ever playing it, but i'm willing to give it a try with the remaster, just not on launch day.
So, apparently Song of Memories is coming out in September? That's what's listed on Rice Digital, but they haven't said a peep about the game since they announced it 5 months ago. I have a feeling it might be delayed, and i'm fine with that, but hopefully not.

Just as we speak of it, an article pops up about the differences between the original TWEWY and the Final Remix version.
I had been considering this game for years and now that it's all spiffed up (no visible pixels...I hate visible pixels...) it's become a real contender. As for pricing, maybe I'm the odd one out, but if it's a game I really want, I pretty much don't care what the price is. I don't actually buy that many games in a year since my taste is so narrow...it ends up being about one game a month. I always expect to pay about $80 for a new release on the Switch if it comes in physical as well as digital, and $40-60 on 3DS, these days. Unless it's a relatively unknown indie, of course.
EDIT: The Quiet Man caught my attention at E3. It was just one short trailer, but it was kind of magnetic. I can't tell if it's even a drawn game, but I think those are actually real people in it. I don't know what it's about. But the game's producer has written about the game's concept, now, and I'm still finding it quite interesting (while still not knowing what kind of game it is, lol).

I wish I had a phone that could run it! So adorable!

Had anyone been considering Nekopara? (I thought it got brought up but I do get confused!) Cuz unfortunately it's been delayed. Kind of frustrating to have them do that the day before release, and not give any new window but 'summer 2018'. I wasn't considering it because girls with cat ears actually give me the creeps, but just in general I think it's not nice to delay a game one day before release. Though it looks as though the Switch version has not been delayed...just the PS4 version. I think.
While im sure the console versions will be censored, im pretty sure Nekopara is a VN with erotic content; just fyi. Not 100% sure but i would look into it if that's an issue or not. If girls with cat ears freak you out wait until you see the pussy's pussy!Kikki wrote:Had anyone been considering Nekopara? (I thought it got brought up but I do get confused!) And no, not for me.
NA version is still apparently coming out tomorrow, but we'll see. I'm planning on getting it eventually, because VNs, but maybe not on release day.
The Steam version has no erotic content, but has an outside patch that adds it. All the console versions aren't going to have the erotic content either, so it's pretty much safe. I've been told without the ero, it's just a cute story.

Here's some charming news. Amazon is slowly chiselling away at any discounts you can get on games from your Prime account. And this time I think this also applies to the US, not just Canada. I am always increasingly validated over cancelling my Prime membership. Yay?
No discount on Vesperia Definitive...fine. You lost a sale, Amazon. You've probably lost a LOT of sales...though I suppose it won't hurt you that much anyway. Now I really have to figure out where else to buy from when I want a physical copy. I don't really like to support Walmart, but they have free shipping and Best Buy and EB Games don't seem to.

Yikes on that Amazon stuff. However, does it retroactively apply to orders? Because the pre-orders for my Little Dragons Cafe LE and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy have yet to get a modification for me paying full price and when I went to order Vesperia Remastered just now, I still had a Prime Discount. So I hope they don't retroactively apply it pre-orders. It does suck that this happened though. If I didn't use it so much for things other than video games and if my mom wasn't piggybacking off of my Prime, I'd considering cancelling because of the price increase alone.
However, I've noticed that there seems to be a bit of an issue with Sony and Amazon anyway. You can't even pre-order the new Spiderman game coming out this September and apparently some people had the same issue with « Harvest Goddess » of War. 1st party Sony games seem to be unofficially excluded from Prime/Amazon for some reason. It's on the site, you just can't order it. At least on the US store.
Anyways, with Anime Expo coming up in like, 2 days, we're bound to get some new announcements. I can't wait for more info on London Detective Mysteria personally. Here's to hoping someone announces Collar x Malice Unlimited too. It's coming out in Japan this month, so it's a bit of a "maybe" title. I kinda hope it gets announced because physical Vita releases are going the way of the dinosaur very, very, very soon.

No. One good thing you can say about Amazon is that they always honor the deal they had with you when you placed the order. They'll never rescind your discount on an order you'd already made.
However, if there was no discount on the item when you PLACED the order, then if they never add one later, they probably won't give it to you. However, I find if you pester them, they cave in.

Well, as long as my existing pre-orders don't get changed, I'll be good. It probably more means that I'll need to really reconsider Collector's Editions in the future though. And maybe a few remasters. I'm hoping for the original .hack// trilogy to get remastered like they did with G.U., but I won't hold my breath for it. If anything, I mainly buy Nintendo games, and their Collector's Editions are very hard to get online due to them selling out in like, 5 minutes and I've never been able to get to my computer in time. I remember the day the FE Fates LE got announced. I was in college and had been sitting on Amazon waiting for it to go live. Then I made the mistake of going to the dining hall for dinner, and by the time I came back like an hour later the pre-orders had gone live and already sold out. Thankfully I went to GameStop that weekend and their pre-orders were still live. I bought that Limited Edition because the price of it came out to be the same as buying Birthright, Conquest, and then Revelations. I hope they never split Fire Emblem into 3 games again. That was just a bad idea.
I guess that was a long-winded way of saying: The Collector's Editions I normally end up really wanting aren't that viable to buy online anyway.
